Little Tangles #64 & The Card Concept #46 - Hello

Hello, friends!  I'm stopping by today with a card I made for two challenges...I will be sending this card off to a fellow coffee-loving card maker as part of a card exchange this month.

First challenge: Little Tangles Challenge #64: Hello.  Hello to the amazingly talented new Little Tangles design team, hello to the new year, and hello to a fellow coffee-loving card maker!

Second challenge:  The Card Concept #46: A Warm Heart.  I was inspired by the red cup and the colors.  I think my style here is clean and graphic...probably not enough white space to be considered clean and simple.

For my card, I used two digital images from the Neat and Tangled shop.  The "hello" sentiment is a digital freebie I've had for a long time (I cropped out the scroll designs on each side of the word in the original image), and I paired it with the cup image from the "Warm Wishes" digital stamp.  I paired them with a pretty Nordic-style patterned paper and some fun stitched dies, and voila!

I love the shine achieved by adding Glossy Accents all over the mug!

CASology #179: SIMPLE

Hello, friends!  Happy New Year!  Welcome back as we start the new year with our new cue card at CASology.

I received some fun stamps for Christmas and was happy to ink them up.  (These silly bird stamps by Tim Holtz have been on my wish list for some time now...and I am enjoying them!)

In order to keep this card "clean and simple," I used one main image and one simple sentiment, leaving plenty of white space.  The one-layer design also keeps it simple.

Simon Says Stamp & Seize the Birthday: Happy Birthday Balloon

Hello, friends!  Happy New Year!  I'm stopping in today to share a card I made for two challenges using some crafty Christmas gifts.

Second challenge:  Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes

I received a fun set of Simon Says Stamp balloons craft dies for Christmas, and I thought they would be perfect with this star-patterned paper.  The sentiment is from the Friendship Messages set.

I have a feeling I will be making lots of these cards for all the birthday parties my kids go to throughout the year.  What a great way to use up some of my patterned paper stash, too!

Three Santas and Some Cash

Hello, friends!  We are enjoying our very busy Christmas holidays but I wanted to pop in to share three cards I made to give some Christmas cash to three special teenagers in our lives.

I used my My Favorite Things stamps (Birdie Brown "Jingle All the Way," "Gifting Fun") and a gift card die ("Gift Card Grooves") for the inside.  I used a Simon Says Stamp sentiment ("Friendship Messages") on the front of the cards.

I think these sentiments are so funny...and so did our teens.

I also want to share a quick and easy project I made for all of my kids' specials teachers (i.e., art, gym, music, Spanish, etc.).  While I've shown three here, I actually made about fifteen of them total.  I used Starbucks Frappuccino bottles, spray painted the lids, printed and adhered free printed labels (found HERE) and finished off with the left over twine we used to tie our Christmas tree to the car roof (waste not, want not)!  I bought the holiday M&M's in bulk and could fill about six jars with one bag.  An easy, fun gift!

CASology #178: MERRY

Hello, friends!  Welcome back for the final CASology cue of 2015!  This challenge will run for two weeks due to the holidays, so you have plenty of time to play along.  It's time to get MERRY!

For my card, I used three digital images by Gerda Steiner Designs and printed them onto watercolor paper, then colored with Copics.  I grounded the images with a lovely sentiment from WPlus9.  The "merry" fits perfectly under the three images and serves as their base.
