Kitty Bee Aloha Friday Challenge #110

Hello, friends!  I'm stopping in today to share a card I'm entering in the current Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenge #110: Food and/or Drink.  This sweet Kitty Bee panda drinking coffee fits the bill perfectly!

I'm also playing along at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme is "Layer It Up."  There are lots of layers on my card today!
I printed this Kitty Bee Designs digi, then die cut with a Paper Smooches flag banner die. (The "hugs" sentiment is also Paper Smooches.)  I added the heart-shaped gem to the coffee cup for an extra little hug!

This is one of the heart themed cards I sent in to the Cards for Little Hearts card drive this month. Be sure to check out this worthy cause!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Merry Monday #274: Let It Snow!

Hello, friends!  The snow has all melted here in New Jersey, and the temps are heading up into the 50's today!  (Feels like summer!)  I'm still thinking about snow, though, because I am here to share a card I made for the current Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #274 {Let It Snow}.

I added snow to my card scene in several ways: a snow-covered ground, snow falling in the sky, and a big snowflake on top of the tree.  The embossed border on the left side of the card base also imitates falling snow!  I really love this Santa from the My Favorite Things "Jingle All the Way" set!

I hope you are doing well.  My youngest son is home from school today sick, so I'd best get moving.  Thanks for stopping by!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #21: Inspiration Board

Hello, friends!  I'm here today to share some Valentine's Day cards I made for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #21 using this inspiration board:

I was mainly inspired by the colors and the hearts -- the shades of pink and red are perfect for Valentine's Day cards!  I made three cards for the challenge, all seen below.

Party PandaI celebrated a birthday in December, so I was lucky enough to get this "Party Panda" stamp set free with my order before the holidays.   For my cards, I decided to add a heart in place of the objects included with the panda (e.g., the cupcake, the bamboo).

I die cut the panda and also die cut a piece of foam, then mounted the image for some dimension.  The heart was die cut from red glitter tape and fit perfectly in the panda's hands!  Here are the cards I made with this sweet panda using the inspiration board:

Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (Party Panda), Inkadinkado (Be My Valentine)
Dies: Nicole (xoxo), heart die
Inks:  Memento (Tuxedo Black), Distress ink (Tumbled Glass)
Other: Dylusions stencil (Small Bubbles), red glitter paper

Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (Party Panda), Hero Arts (Truly Appreciated)
Dies: Lil' Inkers (Stitched Rectangle), Paper Smooches (Gift Tags 2), Reverse Confetti (bow), heart die
Inks:  Memento (Tuxedo Black), Distress ink (Tumbled Glass)
Other: Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder, red glitter paper, patterned paper

Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (Party Panda), Simon Says Stamp (Sending Happy Thoughts, Friendship Messages)
Dies: Lil' Inkers (Stitched Rectangle), MFT (Wonky Stitched Rectangle), heart die
Inks:  Memento (Tuxedo Black), Adirondack (Cranberry)
Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder (Stylized Flowers), red glitter paper, patterned paper

I'm sending these cards off to various card drives for kids in hospitals this Valentine's Day. (Check out my blog sidebar for information.)  I think this cute panda is sure to bring some smiles!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Take good care,
Judy

PP #377: Sending Lots of Love

Hello, friends!  I'm here today to share a card I made for the current challenge at The Paper Players Challenge #377, a clean and simple challenge from Joanne to make "Love Notes."

I worked diligently all weekend to make Valentines and "love notes" for two card drives that are dear to my heart: the "Cards from the Heart" Card Drive run by Winter Sims, and the "Cards for Little Hearts" Card Drive for children with congenital heart disease run by Christina Hor.  Be sure to follow both links for more specific details, guidelines, and time frames.

My card features the Simon Says Stamp "Sending Happy Thoughts" set, and I had some fun paper-piecing two of the envelopes to add some pattern and interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to check out the two card drives mentioned above, as well as the fun clean and simple challenge at The Paper Players this week.  I may play along again!

Take good care,
Judy

Yay for Snow Days!

Hello, friends! I'm stopping in today because after two days back to work, we have a snow day!

While the snow isn't too bad where I am on the east coat, the wind and low temps are making it a bit nasty for travel.  So, I'm staying inside today, taking down some Christmas decorations, and sneaking in a little crafty time while my four teens continue to sleep the morning away!

I have a card to share for two challenges today:

(1) Merry Monday #271: Embossing -- I used dry embossing on my card.

(2) Addicted to Stamps and More! #273: Holiday -- I'm still highlighting Christmas.

For my card, I kept it clean and simple.  I dry embossed the snowy background onto a plain white card, then stamped "Christmas" in red ink.  Next, I adhered the die cut wreath and "merry" sentiment and added red Stickles all around the wreath for some shine to match the red glitter sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps: WPlus9 (Hand Lettered Holiday)
Dies: WPlus9 (Hand Lettered Holiday), Reverse Confetti (Vintage Spring Beginnings)
Inks: Adirondack (Red Pepper)
Other: Sizzix (Snowfall/Speckles) embossing folder, Red Stickles, DCWV red glitter paper

OK, have to get back to taking down the decorations...thank you for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!

Happy New Year and Winner!

Hello, friends, and Happy New Year!  I'm stopping by to wish you all the best in 2018...may it be filled with love, health, happiness, and all good things for you and yours!

I am also here to announce the winner from my giveaway post (found HERE). After putting all seven names into a bowl, my daughter pulled the winner...Barb Ghig from Barb's Studio Creations!  Congratulations, Barb, I'll email you shortly!

It feels odd not to be preparing for another year of design team work, but after the whirlwind "vacation" we just had with our four kids, I know I made a wise choice.  It is actually a bit of a relief as I start this new year with a little less on my plate than usual. (That is a rare event for me!)

Thank you all again for your continued support.  All the best to you in the new year!
Take good care,
Judy
