Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop 2020

Hello, friends! It has been a while since I've popped on to the blog...SO much going on these days, too much to get into here!

Of course you know the reason I am here...to share a card for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop going on until May 29th.  I haven't missed a hop yet, and I'm not about to start!  Boy, I am just under the wire!!

For my card, I paired the sweet coffee cups from Lawn Fawn's "Love You a Latte" set with the My Favorite Things sentiment (from the retired "Stay Cool" set) and their burlap background stamp.  The coffee cups were stamped onto a fun summery patterned paper and fussy cut.

Thanks for stopping by...stay well...and enjoy the hop!

Christmas Card Set Featuring Unity Stamp Company

Hello, friends!  The holidays are well over, but I realized I never shared a set of cards I made this Christmas using the Unity Stamp Company's "Blessed Baby" stamp set.

I made a variety of cards using this main image. I used sentiments from various stamp companies including Simon Says Stamp ("Nativity"), Hero Arts ("Joy to You") and Jane Doodles ("Vintage Christmas").

For all of my cards, I used distress inks for the backgrounds and Copic markers to color the main image.

For the next two cards, I stenciled the oval backgrounds using distress inks and the Taylored Expressions Masking Stencils (oval). Love these!  I also used an oval doily embossing folder on some to add dimension.

I really love this Unity Stamp set and hope to use it each year when making Christmas cards.

As an aside, I thought I'd also share a picture of the M&M jars I made for Christmas gifts this year (gave to dance teachers, etc.) using recycled Starbucks jars. This is such an easy, fun way to reuse, recycle, and craft!  I always buy bulk containers of M&M's at the local wholesale club because the cost is very reasonable.  For this craft, I spray painted the cleaned Starbucks jar lids black, and adhered free labels I found online and printed. A few ribbons at the top ... and done!

Cards for Little Hearts - Heart-Theme Batch 4

Hello, friends!

OK, I think by now you remember why I am here! This is day four of sharing cards I made for the  Cards for Little Hearts heart-themed card drive, going on right now until the end of the month. Please check out Christina's website for details.  All cards must be received by the end of January so they can be distributed in February, which is National Heart Month. You have a day or two left!

This set of cards features the sweet Lawn Fawn koala stamp and heart dies paired with Pretty Pink Posh and Taylored Expressions sentiments, a Hero Arts background stamp, and the "xoxo" die from Nicole. I also used some pink heart gems as well as die cut hearts from red glitter paper.

I'm going to enter this first card into the current "Clean and Simple" theme challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #374.

The red glitter card stock is so shiny!!

Here are the others...

I just love this sweet little koala image from Lawn Fawn. I figured with all that is going on in Australia right now, this would be a fitting image to use.

Thank you for sticking with me this week...I am dedicated to the Cards for Little Hearts card drive and just want to spread the word.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cards for Little Hearts - Heart-Theme Batch 3

Hello, friends! Yep, I'm back to share my next set of cards made for the Cards for Little Hearts heart-themed card drive, going on right now until the end of the month. Please check out Christina's website for details.  All cards must be received by the end of January so they can be distributed in February, which is National Heart Month.

These cards both feature an old wooden stamp bear image from D.O.T.S. paired with a sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh.  The swirly background is an old cling stamp from Hero Arts.

I hope you get a chance to check out the The Cards for Little Hearts heart-themed card drive going on right now until the end of the month. Even one card is sure to brighten the day of a child in the hospital during February, National Heart Month!

Cards for Little Hearts - Heart-Theme Batch 2

Hello, friends!

As I mentioned in my post yesterday, the Cards for Little Hearts heart-themed card drive is going on right now until the end of the month. Please check out Christina's website for details.  All cards must be received by the end of January so they can be distributed to hospitalized children receiving cardiac care in February, which is National Heart Month.

I'm here to share a set of cards I made using Simon Says Stamp and Taylored Expressions stamps  and dies, a Memory Box (Hugs Loving Heart) die, and some pretty patterned papers. These were so easy to make!

Let me know if you have any questions about any of the supplies I used in making these cards. I hope you get a chance to mail in a card or two for the Cards for Little Hearts heart-themed card drive. Please consider sending in a few cards, too!

Have a great day,
Judy

Cards for Little Hearts - Heart-Theme Batch 1

Hello, friends! Boy, it has been a while since my last post...I must admit I spend more time on Instagram than on my blog these days, but I wanted to post about an important card drive that is going on this month.

The Cards for Little Hearts heart-themed card drive is going on right now until the end of the month. Please check out Christina's website for details.  All cards must be received by the end of January so they can be distributed in February, which is National Heart Month.

I was able to send in 15 cards for this year's card drive...not many compared to others who send in hundreds.  However, every card counts...even one!  I urge you to consider sending in some cards today.

I will have posts over the next few days to share the cards I made.

Today's cards feature adorable stamp images from Gerda Steiner Designs and Mama Elephant, along with sweet sentiments by Pretty Pink Posh and Taylored Expressions.  Patterned papers, stitched/scalloped dies, and a Hero Arts background stamp rounded out the supplies I used for this set of cards.

Let me know if you have any questions about any of the materials I used, I'll gladly answer!

I'm adding these two cards to the current Gerda Steiner Share Your Design Challenge - January 2020.

I think all of my Gerda Steiner Designs stamps would be great to use on heart-themed cards for kids.  It was hard to choose which ones to use, to be honest.

Next up!
I just can't get enough of these sweet Mama Elephant bunnies! They are the perfect image for heart-themed cards! I must also admit that I am head-over-heels in love with the Taylored Expressions sentiment strips and dies...they made this whole process so easy!  (Check them out here: Simple Strips Background and Simple Strips Die.)

OK, so that's it for today. Stop by tomorrow for another set of cards I sent in for the Cards for Little Hearts heart-themed card drive. Please consider sending in a few cards, too!

Have a great day,
Judy
