CASology #130: FRIEND

Hello, friends!  We are back with our next CASology cue card (and it seems to be a popular theme this week in blogland)!

I recently purchased a few goodies online from JoAnne's during a really good sale, and my goodies came just in time for this cue.  I bought a new Darice embossing folder (I have a thing for them, if you haven't guessed already) and I couldn't wait to use it to frame these cute chickadees by Technique Tuesday.  I like the way this simple friendship card turned out!


I added some subtle glitter accents around the embossed frame with a glitter pen...I love that effect.  Interest, no bulk.

I'm also going to link this card up to the current Less Is More Week 207 Theme: Friends challenge.  (Isn't it amazing that we both randomly picked the same theme this week?  Great minds think alike!)

    Oh, was it an embossing folder? It really looks like a doily paper to me! What a great dimension!!! By the way, how did you color the birds, Judy? Watercolor? Copics? Love the way you colored them.

      Hi, May! I used Copics to color the birds, the only three yellow Copics I own! Y06, Y11 and Y15.

    Hi Judy, I really love this! I am using the old Revolution, so it's really unfortunate that I can't do the bigger embossing like what you did! Saving up for either Big Shot or Evolution Advanced ;)

    I have got to get off my butt and order those birdies! Joyce even told me about the Joanne's sale and I still didn't order them. Grrr! I love your shading on them and how funny that we both went for yellow birds this week! Great minds! :D
