CASology #71: BELL

Hello, friends!  What a great week we had at CASology last week...what amazing triangle creations you all came up with!  I am super excited to see where you go with this week's new cue word:

My mind raced when I saw this cue!  School bells...dinner bells...wedding bells...hand bells...Christmas bells...floral bells...SO many possibilities!  However, my stash did not include any of the above, with the exception of an old, small wedding bell stamp by Hero Arts.  I decided to convert it to Christmas bells and here is the result:

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Hero Arts "Wedding Celebration," "Very Merry Christmas"
Inks: black dye ink, cranberry dye ink, red and green Copic markers
Other: Glossy Accents, gold Stickles, Cuttlebug "Pinking Stitch" embossing folder

I know the bells are small, but the larger sentiment makes up for it.  I love adding Glossy Accents and Stickles to small images, too, because it helps "beef up" the image.  I fussy cut the bells and popped them up for some extra dimension.

While I was at it, I made another card.  I plan to send these Christmas cards in to the Caring Hearts Card Drive (see details HERE -- the deadline is fast approaching!).

I am also entering both cards in the current Hero Arts Holiday Challenge in the category of "A Few of My Favorite Things" since I used my Hero Arts stamps and some favorite stamping techniques (including coloring, fussy cutting and dry embossing).

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Hero Arts "Wedding Celebration," "Very Merry Christmas"
Inks: black dye ink, green and red Copic markers
Other: Sizzix/Hero Arts "Flourishes 3" embossing folder, Glossy Accents, gold Stickles, Spellbinders Nestabilities circle, corner rounder, floss

So here we go...bring on the bells!  Be sure to link up your project at the CASology blog by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Check out our amazing Guest Designer and the Design Team creations, too...you are sure to be inspired!
