CASology #215: BARK

Hello, friends!  I'm here with my second post for the day to share my card for the newest CASology cue card...I have a feeling it is going to be a popular one!

There are several ways to go with this cue...dogs...trees...I went with dog!  I had fun inking up this cute fella and masking him so I could ink a soft sky and grassy hill behind him.  While he's not barking at the moment, it could happen at any time!  ;)

Supplies:
Simon Says Stamp "You Are Pawesome" and "Handwritten Sentiments"
Distress Inks: Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters
Dies: Mama Elephant "Index Card Creative Cuts" and Lil' Inkers "Stitched Rectangles"
Other: Gold mini gem, foam tape, Copic markers

Since I played with some fun Simon Says Stamps sets, I'm linking this card up to the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #53 where "Anything Goes," as well as the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme is "Stamp It" (using Simon exclusive stamps if you can.)

Be sure to link up your BARK card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the many ways our Design Team and Guest Designer interpreted the cue this week...be sure to check them out!

The Altenew Challenge Blog Hop with CASology

Hello, friends!  I'm here today to share the card I made for the Altenew Challenge Blog Hop!  My card is featured at the CASology blog since I am one of the Design Team members and CASology is one of the challenges being highlighted.  The blog hop will be hopping from one challenge site to another, so be sure to check them out! This graphic summarizes all the participating challenge blogs:

For my card, I used Altenew's "Peony Bouquet" stamp set, and it was my first experience with a layering stamp set.  Can I just say...it is MAGICAL!  I am in love.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Altenew ("Peony Bouquet"), Avery Elle ("Oh Happy Day")
Inks: Hero Arts (Soft Rose shadow ink,  Bubblegum mid-tone dye ink), Tim Holtz distress sink (Victorian Velvet)

I'm entering my card in the current Less Is More Challenge #293 - One Layer where the theme is "Your Favorite Flower."  I do love peonies!  (And, as luck would have it, Less Is More is yet another challenge taking part in this blog hop!)

Be sure to check out all of the participating challenge blogs at Altenew...we are in for a treat!

New Release at Precious Remembrance Shop!

Hello, friends!  I'm so excited about the new release at Precious Remembrance Shop! I'm here today as part of the new release blog hop and I can't wait to share my project with you!

Say hello to "Oh Christmas" stamp set!

You should have arrived from the Precious Remembrance Shop blog.  If you want to start from the beginning, here is the entire line-up for your reference:

Precious Remembrance Shop
Judy Marino --> you are here!
Stephanie Gold -- our Guest Designer this month!

I had fun layering some holiday patterned papers and combining stamp sets from Precious Remembrance Shop.  I LOVE this date stamp in the new release...the fun bubble numbers have so many possibilities!  Color...paper piece...so many options!  I also love that it fits perfectly inside the wreath from the "Joy" stamp set.

I have to admit...this little image started out as a tag, then I started layering and all of a sudden it was a card!  However, you could easily make a whole set of Christmas tags using this cute little image.

OK, so you might have guessed by now...there is a chance to win this stamp set!  Simply leave a comment to the shop's blog post and each designer's blog and let us know your thoughts about our newest set!  Good luck! :)

CASology #214: BEACH

Hello, friends!  It's time for our next CASology cue card!

Here is the inspiration for my card...this is the sun setting over the bay after a lovely day at the beach in Avalon, New Jersey.  We spent the day visiting my best girlfriend and her family at the beach earlier this summer, and this was the view as we drove home that evening. (In case you are concerned, I took this picture but my husband was driving.)

My BFF (i.e., Best Friend Forever) lives a few states away so we don't see each other very often...and I cherish every minute we do get to spend together.

I chose the sentiment for several reasons.  I miss my best girlfriend so, so much.  I also miss summer...sleeping more, running less, enjoying family time.

This card is my farewell to summer...and will be mailed to my BFF straight away.

Stamps Used:
Hero Arts "Silhouette Grass"
Technique Tuesday "Miss You" by Ali Edwards

In order to keep this design clean and simple, I masked off half of the large background stamp before stamping on the card and embossing in white.  Then I masked off each side of the image and added distress inks and spritzed with water.

I really look forward to seeing your interpretation of the cue card this week.  Be sure to link up your BEACH card by noon on Monday (Central time). Check out our Guest Designer and Design Team blogs this week for more beachy inspiration, too!

NBUS Challenge #7 and SSS Wednesday Challenge

Hello, friends!  I'm just under the wire as I play along with Darnell's NBUS Challenge #7 where the theme is "Anything Goes" as long as you use "Never Before Used Schtuff!"

I'm also playing along at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme is "Anything Goes."

I recently purchased this pretty sentiment stamp set from Inspired By Stamping called "Just For You" and I couldn't wait to ink it up!  (I'm adding it to the Customer Gallery while I'm at it.)

I also inked up my old Paper Smooches "Reflections"  stamps...honestly not sure if I ever did ink them up before. (Based on the border of my card, you can see they've seen lots of ink now!)

Supplies:
Inspired By Stamping "Just For You"
Paper Smooches "Reflections"
Various distress inks, Gold Stickles

I am enjoying the holiday weekend and preparing for the big week ahead...returning to work, kids returning to school (two incoming juniors in high school, one incoming freshman, and one entering middle school).  On top of that, sports and extracurriculars resume...soccer, cross country, dance, pep band, choir, stage crew.  Weekly music lessons (drums, guitar) continue.  My Labor Day is spent resting and prepping for the impending labor ahead!  Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by!
