Hello friends! Just stopping by with a birthday card I made for two current challenges. First, I used the pink neon inspiration from the current Hero Arts July monthly contest...
and I made it a birthday card for the Stamp It! Cards Birthday Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
So, I'm walking past the card section at my local CVS Pharmacy the other day, and I always check out the card designs for ideas and inspiration. I spotted a set of thank you notes that were neon pink with a pinstriped background, and along with the sentiment were white flowers tied with a bow. A very clean and simple design...just my style! I was immediately reminded of some of my favorite Hero Arts stamps, and I thought to myself, "I can do that!" So, once I had my allergy medicine in hand (yes, welcome to New Jersey, folks!) I was on my way home to make a card.
I made a card base using neon pink cardstock, and stamped the Large Canvas Stripes using Bubblegum Shadow Ink Mid-Tone. Next, I embossed the flowers in the Thinking of You Messages clear set in white and stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Sending Smiles Messages clear set in black. Finally, I added the neon striped bow with a glue dot and rounded the corners.
So at dinner that evening I told my husband how much money I saved him by making this card today. He smiled. He knows. Someday I'll break even...maybe. (Or not. And that's OK!)
Have a great day!
