I was inspired to make a rather literal translation of this picture as the details on the dress reminded me of the Hero Arts Classic Fabric Design stamp, and the eyelet top brought to mind my Martha Stewart doily lace edge punch. Here is what I came up with:
Here is a different view of the card that highlights the shiny texture of the silver embossing powder...
Funny, I have been following the Moxie Fab World blog (hosted by Cath Edvalson) for a long time but I have never participated in any Tuesday Trigger challenges -- until now. I'm a bit nervous, playing in the big leagues today!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by...have a great day!
Judy
Love your take on this challenge, Judy! This challenge intimidated me so much I didn't even try - your card is a winner, imo - good luck!
ReplyDeleteFabulous take on the trigger, Judy! Gosh, your silver embossing looks so pretty against that beautiful blue! Perfect added touch with the lace punch too! Good luck in the challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Judy! Love the silver embossing and this blue is stunning. It's totally perfect.
ReplyDeleteAnd FYI-I think you are quite talented enough to be playing in the "big leagues" as you put it!
Nothing for you to be nervous about, Judy! Your cards are right up there with the rest of them. I love this card with the beautiful silver embossing! Great job.
ReplyDeleteAw.. how LOVELY, Judy!! I love your use of colors and border punches and stamps!!! Wow! Your first TT entry is very impressive!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way...the "big league" challenge always has room for talented card-makers like YOU!I was never one that plays in the big league, but I just keep playing...playing and ..playing and keeping a very thick skin (LOL) :)
ReplyDeleteOh this is so beautiful Judy! I love that silver embossing on the that blue colour! Really a stunning interpretation!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Judy!! Just perfect...colors are great, the embossing is great, and the 'lace'....just the right amount! Good luck with the challenge! :)

ReplyDeleteHey Judy! Thanks for linking this up to this week's Tuesday Trigger in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! :)
ReplyDeleteWow this is drop dead gorgeous Judy! I love the colours of this trigger but the way you interupted this card challenge is oustanding. The detail to the embossing is over the top and you deserve to win! Wow! Thinking of you and wondering if you got your package yet. I sent your package long before I sent my package to Karen my Swap Pal at HA Flicker and she got her stuff today. I hope it isn't lost. Let me know okay sweetie when you get it. Sorry I haven't been commenting so much as I should but life is crazy. Gonna try and do better. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect interpretation of that dress! I like the card better than the dress! It is simply stunning!
