CASology #240: FOLIAGE

Hello, friends!  It's time for our next cue card at CASology!

It's hard to focus on foliage around here when we are getting hit with another snow/sleet/rain storm!  What a crazy winter we have had here on the east coast of the USA...last week I didn't even need a jacket and my daffodils were blooming, then this week it is snowing and temps are below freezing.  What the what?

Anyway, I decided to add to my birthday card stash with two clean and simple cards using leaf die cuts from Cuttlebug paired with some fun green patterned papers.

I love this simplicity of this design...no coloring needed, since the patterned papers do all the work!

Sentiment by Simon Says Stamp "Sending Happy Thoughts"

Sentiment by Simon Says Stamp "Birthday Messages"

Since I'm playing with green and white on both cards, I'll be entering them into the current The Paper Players Color Challenge #335.

I can't wait to see how you interpret FOLIAGE this week!  Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the many ways our Design Team and Guest Designer interpreted the cue this week...be sure to check out their blogs, too!

  1. Two beautiful cards Judy - I'm a big fan of using negative space on a card and I love how you used your subtle green patterns to accentuate your leaves. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!
