CASology #242: TEXT

Hello, friends!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm stopping in today with my card for the new cue up at CASology. So many ways to go with this one!

Of course, with three teenagers and one pre-teen in the house, it's no surprise that I thought of texting on our phones...I'm guessing most people, no matter what age, might go there.  I also thought of books and reading, so I combined both ideas into one card.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Art Impressions ("Hot Java Mama"),  Hero Arts ("Friend Definition" cling)
Inks: MFT (Black Licorice), Copics (various), Simon Says Stamp (Mindy Candy)
Other: MFT Wonky Rectangles die

I can't wait to see how you interpret the TEXT cue card this week!  Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). Check out the Design Team and Guest Designer for more inspiration this week!

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello, friends!  Spring is officially here, and you know what that means? Yep, it's time for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop!

I made a card using some sunny, spring colors.  This lazy cat ("Cup Kitty" from Sami Stamps) makes me smile!  I paired it with a sentiment from AI's "Hot Java Mama" set...I thought they went together perfectly!

I hope you get the chance to hop along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop this week...I'm sure we are in for a lot of inspiration and fun! The hop runs from March 24th through March 31st, so there is plenty of time to participate!

Take good care,
Judy

CASology #241: MELT

Hello, friends!  I'm stopping in today with my card for the new cue at CASology.  (Where I live, this cue is particularly appropriate as the snow is melting quickly!)

Our challenge sponsor this week is STAMPlorations, and I used a fun set called "Warm Hands, Warm Hearts" designed by Shery Russ.  These images are so cute!  I immediately thought of the mittens for this cue.

I stamped the mittens and sentiment in black ink, then clear embossed for some shine.  After coloring the mittens with Copic markers, I masked a circle and inked with blue distress ink.  Finally, I added some white accents to the mittens with a white gel pen.

I am also entering this card into the current STAMPlorations March CAS Card Challenge (with the optional color twist "sky blue") and the STAMPlorations Never-Ending Anything Goes Challenge. (Did you know Shery always shares a free digi image at that link? There is a really cool floral/coffee image there now...could be cool for the upcoming Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!)

I can't wait to see how you interpret the cue card this week!  Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the many ways our Design Team and Guest Designer interpreted the cue this week...be sure to check out their blogs, too!

AAA Cards #86 and SSS Wednesday Challenge

Hello, friends!  Happy first day of Spring to all my friends in the USA!  I'm here today with another card for two current challenges.

First up, the current AAA Cards CAS Game #86: Diecuts.  I'm so excited to be a Guest Designer there this time around!

Next up, the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Bit O' Green.

I made another clean and simple card for St. Patrick's Day using the same die I used for THIS card.  This time, I just changed up the card base, used an oval lace embossing folder, and left off the sentiment (it's on the inside).  The little white ribbon is a simple finishing touch.

I love how sparkly the green glitter paper is in the right light!

I hope you get a chance to check out these two challenges.  Both have lots of inspiring cards already entered in the pool!

Thanks for stopping by...Happy Spring!

AAA Cards Guest Designer CAS Game #86: DIECUTS

Hello, friends!  I'm so happy to be here today as a Guest Designer for the current challenge at AAA Cards: CAS Game #86.  The challenge is to make a clean and simple card using DIECUTS!

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, I made a card using a fun shamrock die cut on green glitter paper.  The die set also came with a heart, so I die cut that and popped it up in the center of the shamrock and added a clear snowflake gem for a little extra sparkle!

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Hero Arts (Celebrate Everyday)
Dies: Elizabeth Craft Designs (4 Leaf Clover)
Other:  Stampin' Up Sizzix (Framed Tulips embossing folder); glitter cardstock; clear gem

Since I used a "bit of green" glitter paper, I'm also going to enter this card into the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Bit O' Green.

I hope you will be able to play along for this fun challenge...dig out those dies and get crafting!  Remember to keep it "CAS" (i.e., "Clean And Simple") this time around...you can find the definition of this style HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

CASology #240: FOLIAGE

Hello, friends!  It's time for our next cue card at CASology!

It's hard to focus on foliage around here when we are getting hit with another snow/sleet/rain storm!  What a crazy winter we have had here on the east coast of the USA...last week I didn't even need a jacket and my daffodils were blooming, then this week it is snowing and temps are below freezing.  What the what?

Anyway, I decided to add to my birthday card stash with two clean and simple cards using leaf die cuts from Cuttlebug paired with some fun green patterned papers.

I love this simplicity of this design...no coloring needed, since the patterned papers do all the work!

Sentiment by Simon Says Stamp "Sending Happy Thoughts"

Sentiment by Simon Says Stamp "Birthday Messages"

Since I'm playing with green and white on both cards, I'll be entering them into the current The Paper Players Color Challenge #335.

I can't wait to see how you interpret FOLIAGE this week!  Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the many ways our Design Team and Guest Designer interpreted the cue this week...be sure to check out their blogs, too!

CASology #239: LANDMARK

Hello, friends!  I'm here today with a card for the new cue at CASology!

I immediately thought of being lost at sea and frantically searching for a landmark...some beacon of hope, of light, of land!  Not sure why my mind went there, but it did...and luckily I had just the right stamps for the occasion!

I'm not sure who will eventually get this card...I'm guessing that someday there will be an occasion for which this is suitable.  Maybe a job change? Maybe a graduation? I'm sure I'll know when the time arrives.

Supplies:
Stamps: Inkadinkado (Patterned Sailboats); Ranger Dylusions (Clearly the Right Words)
Inks: MFT (Black Licorice); Copic markers for the boat; blue watercolor for the water

What does LANDMARK bring to mind for you?  I can't wait to see how you interpret the cue card this week!  Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). Check out our Design Team and Guest Designer for more inspiration!
