I am stopping by to share a card I made for the monthy maker challenge (at Taylored Expressions Facebook fan group). This month, Taylor challenged us to use "splatter" in some way on our cards.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBPlk3umoDZcAqDcUPLXOcP-MjifjjWhFxHBCJQCabAxDug05oAIj71XoqjNotpmZT59y6qY9mXfQQA19a0k0JFcIear8gTCYU4rY9Tpq4eZehylgHiRNmvD4gKEnj1HALBPM_lzhonu_R5g624YyUPE7KLTJuE4B9kHOje_EZOnvOTzvqVVdaRnqx/s4032/IMG_8242.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBPlk3umoDZcAqDcUPLXOcP-MjifjjWhFxHBCJQCabAxDug05oAIj71XoqjNotpmZT59y6qY9mXfQQA19a0k0JFcIear8gTCYU4rY9Tpq4eZehylgHiRNmvD4gKEnj1HALBPM_lzhonu_R5g624YyUPE7KLTJuE4B9kHOje_EZOnvOTzvqVVdaRnqx/w480-h640/IMG_8242.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><p>I inked the die cut coneflowers using my ink blender brushes, then splattered with watered-down white acrylic paint.</p><p>I mounted the flowers on top of a dry-embossed birthday sentiment panel, then topped with a foiled TE birthday sentiment strip. The kraft frame is TE's "Frame in Frame 2."</p><p>Such a quick and easy card!</p><p>Thanks for stopping by!</p><p>Judy</p>Judy1223http://www.blogger.com/profile/13427245378191832243noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518588463894965166.post-21186498268842127772023-01-09T22:38:00.001-05:002023-01-09T22:38:50.852-05:00Post-Christmas Card Share - Taylored Expressions<p>Hello, friends, and Happy New Year!</p><p>The Christmas holidays flew by, but I was happy to be able to make a few cards with the gifts I received. I bought myself a mini Minc machine last fall, so this Christmas I received a bunch of Foil It card bases by <b>Taylored Expressions</b>. I also received several difficent colors/styles of Deco Foil...so I made a bunch of cards!</p><p>First up...a set of holiday thank you cards featuring the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/foil-it-beautiful-blizzards/">Foil It - Beautiful Blizzards</a> paired with the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/foil-it-on-occasion/">Foil It - On Occasion</a> sentiments and dies. The <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/diagonal-stitch-rectangle-stacklets/">Diagonal Stitch Rectangle Stacklets</a> add some interest around the borders, and the embossed (not die cut) stitched circles helped provide a way to add some dimension using <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/masking-stencils-circles/">Masking Stencils - Circles</a> and darker inks to set off the sentiments. The card bases were inked using Tim Holtz distress inks (Tumbled Glass and Broken China).</p><p>This first set features the snowflakes and far right sentiment foiled with <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/deco-foil-transfer-sheets-patterns/">Lapis Watercolor</a> Deco Foil, one of the sentiments (center) foiled with <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/deco-foil-transfer-sheets-patterns/">Silver Shattered Glass</a> Deco Foil, and one sentiment (left) is regular <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/deco-foil-transfer-sheets/">Silver</a> Deco Foil.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJpk5Odygr3pTvWneUOOf9FRGsgTF7JK0zrS-UBYHRNSVLVE5c-62yWcIqJDH5l8yUdEXaq60yVVqA9OirPELeqCz5Qm2qmSLde9OtbLZ-k_NJnbqKteVbMiFe6WyYr9tYt55bK1_-k2Nrba44rjF7FsGrsntwsgp02IoXYYJuWtQQ1P-wyeESYCFG/s3884/IMG_7964.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2438" data-original-width="3884" height="402" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJpk5Odygr3pTvWneUOOf9FRGsgTF7JK0zrS-UBYHRNSVLVE5c-62yWcIqJDH5l8yUdEXaq60yVVqA9OirPELeqCz5Qm2qmSLde9OtbLZ-k_NJnbqKteVbMiFe6WyYr9tYt55bK1_-k2Nrba44rjF7FsGrsntwsgp02IoXYYJuWtQQ1P-wyeESYCFG/w640-h402/IMG_7964.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div>The next set features the snowflakes foiled with Silver, while two of the sentiments (center and right) are Silver Shattered Glass.<div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGwU0fd4znmlh-7h3U8HPEODyjSeBU5SgVoO79ZJMMKwtZGfQTmoT_-fCoYjLD32ZlJW7RgDPf_uEXn13j7_IrFc7OK6jZshOdq89kfEGbg5h7rdT0yDyFcUSdxHXjtz_T4vqkTExLis2yDSHJ4XxvYA9VkoCG9cGk9tDvf6sRxoR1_UlFgUWgE-cG/s3982/IMG_7966.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2383" data-original-width="3982" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGwU0fd4znmlh-7h3U8HPEODyjSeBU5SgVoO79ZJMMKwtZGfQTmoT_-fCoYjLD32ZlJW7RgDPf_uEXn13j7_IrFc7OK6jZshOdq89kfEGbg5h7rdT0yDyFcUSdxHXjtz_T4vqkTExLis2yDSHJ4XxvYA9VkoCG9cGk9tDvf6sRxoR1_UlFgUWgE-cG/w640-h384/IMG_7966.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My next set of cards were mini slim Christmas cards featuring the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/foil-it-seasonal-sprig/">Foil It - Seasonal Sprig</a> card bases along with the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/seasonal-sprig/">stamp set</a>, <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/mini-slim-stencil-seasonal-sprig/">layering stencil</a>, and <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/seasonal-sprig-cutting-plate/">cutting plate</a>. I can't believe that we are days away from Christmas...it is sneaking up on me this year! At some point during the craziness, I did get a chance to play with a <b>Taylored Expressions</b> stamp set called "A Thrill of Hope." Just stopping in quickly to share two cards I made using some pretty <b>Taylored Expressions</b> supplies. </p><p>I have had this <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/birds-blooms-stencil/">"Birds and Blooms" stencil</a> in my stash and figured it was a good time to ink it up! I made two backrounds, one with a white background and another with tone-on-tone inking. I honestly like them both!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVfQt-QXkI08gqG_u7W8DU1WJBk4M0NXMEy4x6HK2H0cBhoQtPyngPtnKkOfKVdAYm86vR0_Xf5ykFSTyripAh2OyNdAvUdr4w7jjw_B7NnPKPB2GLDD3ZFqevInq6HC2pIcm01pjoclIaOIDRzlM3tVitTqDA4GoQ1ZQF7jCQ9mu2kqVkyPO_PFiR/s3780/IMG_6849.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3780" data-original-width="2835" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVfQt-QXkI08gqG_u7W8DU1WJBk4M0NXMEy4x6HK2H0cBhoQtPyngPtnKkOfKVdAYm86vR0_Xf5ykFSTyripAh2OyNdAvUdr4w7jjw_B7NnPKPB2GLDD3ZFqevInq6HC2pIcm01pjoclIaOIDRzlM3tVitTqDA4GoQ1ZQF7jCQ9mu2kqVkyPO_PFiR/w480-h640/IMG_6849.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div><br /></div>For both cards, I stamped, embossed, die cut, and layered the birthday sentiment (from the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/on-occasion/">"On Occasion" stamp set</a>) atop a purple vellum die-cut oval. Once done stenciling the background, I die cut the panels using a stitched rectangle die, added some glitter Stickles on some of the dots, and mounted them onto black card bases.<div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK1__n5AW7BCkw5g_fWKX-0SI1aLgqly3ujngWl3IFNSmDMF60ggJtgv-CANifx8MnavEP6Rfg6t0AG5sxpYk0aZhuqCuvX_Y1mD7BDK93VIxQAiDx7jmSN6OdhOsC5rNQFFIY2MJoC7T_PFzS6X15OqDKDt1w6ndF-XxNYylmGGOrtlpz0e4QUxGt/s3580/IMG_6852.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3580" data-original-width="2655" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK1__n5AW7BCkw5g_fWKX-0SI1aLgqly3ujngWl3IFNSmDMF60ggJtgv-CANifx8MnavEP6Rfg6t0AG5sxpYk0aZhuqCuvX_Y1mD7BDK93VIxQAiDx7jmSN6OdhOsC5rNQFFIY2MJoC7T_PFzS6X15OqDKDt1w6ndF-XxNYylmGGOrtlpz0e4QUxGt/w474-h640/IMG_6852.jpg" width="474" /></a></div><br /><p>Thank you for stopping by...I always appreciate your visits!</p><p>Judy</p></div>Judy1223http://www.blogger.com/profile/13427245378191832243noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6518588463894965166.post-84823172708143520912022-07-26T20:44:00.000-04:002022-07-26T20:44:23.667-04:00Taylored Expressions - Foil It Cards<p>Hello, friends! 'Tis the season for graduations, and this spring we have had lots of graduations in our family! My two oldest children both graduated from college, along with one of my nephews. SO...I have been making a bunch of cards for my family as well as some of their friends. (I thought I'd share them here before I begin round two of graduation cards for the students I work with that will be graduating from high school next month!)</p><p>Every spring, <b>Taylored Expressions</b> releases graduation stamps as well as pre-printed "Foil It" cards for the year that can be foiled with a Minc or laminator. This year, <b>TE</b> also came out with a Create-In-Quads graduation celebration stencil set. Paired together, these supplies all make graduation card mass production simple and fun. In addition, these supplies allow you to personalize your cards using the school colors...I love that!</p><p>The first graduation card of the spring is for my nephew who graduated from Emory University. I used the school colors and gold foil on the sentiment to pull it all together.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhycFfCvGP_4Oe6JYqKmW_DB_TdUeqecjF74TKma695waAMB6my6QlSAYpDZVuaG2Ryhp-9EYMvE6OuCO2K45INd4tEdUR35GwSXlJjYfyYTW6HyqLQtuS7rbYaTSbLi-HHPuNiudsliWIc2rjnksfVnAExZd3Cy9WsScM7CzfwFBvrEEj9Lpq3beog/s2636/IMG_5129.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2636" data-original-width="2166" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhycFfCvGP_4Oe6JYqKmW_DB_TdUeqecjF74TKma695waAMB6my6QlSAYpDZVuaG2Ryhp-9EYMvE6OuCO2K45INd4tEdUR35GwSXlJjYfyYTW6HyqLQtuS7rbYaTSbLi-HHPuNiudsliWIc2rjnksfVnAExZd3Cy9WsScM7CzfwFBvrEEj9Lpq3beog/w329-h400/IMG_5129.jpg" width="329" /></a> <br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaUfg9QSXkiN7VdYGRR1a2osbx_0sloueMKzplHoUeORalHTmWg-WfchzcSqxEXkw-x6fBavHJXxZZestjUAqZ4XDlr4RPS6ugdEfEslG6EmSWMYhPty-_L4DRFz29P-JG1PTKBfwK4BUqdY1wbl_nlYucIrWIYnSJ7VCdhlOPjcBcRQvauiJUU9wN/s3158/IMG_5130.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3158" data-original-width="2424" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaUfg9QSXkiN7VdYGRR1a2osbx_0sloueMKzplHoUeORalHTmWg-WfchzcSqxEXkw-x6fBavHJXxZZestjUAqZ4XDlr4RPS6ugdEfEslG6EmSWMYhPty-_L4DRFz29P-JG1PTKBfwK4BUqdY1wbl_nlYucIrWIYnSJ7VCdhlOPjcBcRQvauiJUU9wN/s320/IMG_5130.jpg" width="246" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTUj3Z9IyXwjZb5INfigFyW9Z-3sgQjyJ5JkC1LDqn5ZJLtbBcOEjKm9GmUFkp7rjLuQvBW8PeAuEeaBx_acJFrMz3gi8xoMVmw39_ArDARy4S8hYeBSxs1yQjBFNL4zELLG4U4WtAcUctThlxOa2koeIKsztdbwUMPoXwV4tvDw3SWsImPzu5vWcx/s216/Emory.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="216" data-original-width="216" height="216" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTUj3Z9IyXwjZb5INfigFyW9Z-3sgQjyJ5JkC1LDqn5ZJLtbBcOEjKm9GmUFkp7rjLuQvBW8PeAuEeaBx_acJFrMz3gi8xoMVmw39_ArDARy4S8hYeBSxs1yQjBFNL4zELLG4U4WtAcUctThlxOa2koeIKsztdbwUMPoXwV4tvDw3SWsImPzu5vWcx/s1600/Emory.jpg" width="216" /></a></div><p><br /></p><p>Next up...cards for my oldest son and his friends who all graduated from Loyola University Maryland. Holy Week is upon us, and I am preparing to send out Easter cards to my family and friends. I was happy to get a chance to play with two different sets of Easter stamps from <b>Taylored Expressions</b>. Let's get right to it!</p><p>My first two cards feature the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/spring-wreath-layering-stencil/">"Spring Wreath" Layering Stencil</a> and coordinating <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/spring-wreath-dies/">dies</a> (for one version). The sentiment on the outside of the card is from the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/handlettered-easter/">"Handlettered Easter"</a> set, stamped in black ink and then embossed with <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/te-fine-detail-embossing-powder/">diamond embossing powder</a> for some sparkle. The <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/bits-pieces-drip-drops/">Bits and Pieces Drip Drops</a> were the perfect finishing touch. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1NjwilGe1rBD22ksQdGiYW84ouKg4epi2CBqz4UqXS5zTKFWmWZyYrZm59BwCXK3FM7lft7yQ7HvhytciItS0QD3WUeBWJY5rxWqp9Hb2U7xuHp3EBHLVHbFo2cj6fqvCiDFSZjGha_aDhECoLSFmqXEvYbgGZ21GdGR-fTIHGh6LaoGZb0e6eCSA/s2591/IMG_4554.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2591" data-original-width="2134" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1NjwilGe1rBD22ksQdGiYW84ouKg4epi2CBqz4UqXS5zTKFWmWZyYrZm59BwCXK3FM7lft7yQ7HvhytciItS0QD3WUeBWJY5rxWqp9Hb2U7xuHp3EBHLVHbFo2cj6fqvCiDFSZjGha_aDhECoLSFmqXEvYbgGZ21GdGR-fTIHGh6LaoGZb0e6eCSA/w528-h640/IMG_4554.jpg" width="528" /></a></div><div><br /></div>The wooden plank background is an <b>Impression Obsession</b> image stamped using <b>Hero Arts </b>Soft Wheat ink. I wanted to stop by to share a set of three birthday cards I made while playing with my <b>Taylored Expressions</b> inks and stencils. Every day for the month of December I enjoyed opening my Advent Calendar envelope, and this fun stencil was one of my favorite calendar items. (There were two stencils in the envelope...I will have more cards to share using the other stencil soon!) The colorful enamel dots were also part of the Advent Calendar...how fun!</p><p>One of the things I love about this little stencil is that it fits perfectly inside the <b>TE</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/masking-stencils-scalloped-circles/">"Scalloped Circle Masking Stencils,"</a> so that the smaller stencil image looks "framed" when you ink them up together.</p><p>Here are the three card variations I made, using a variety of <b>TE</b> mini ink cubes and blender brushes, and with the help of Pixie Spray so the stencils stayed in place:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhY3TFmHLpdOGNDLkosbPO1rAKQ6ZxBaFDzFzxNiDkh63VjC2pmXLS3LeqH6h107tczGpiBNi7iWOYZ_1TP7WbglLZLJnVIb3Knem_wy_-tS1S1Rr0WrUz6k35I0n81MfI4C8ecHKHCQqwHFrfU1fJyo23sLAQbk6rC7bRLp7e4W5zTAaBJMyj2w8Aq=s2821" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2821" data-original-width="2386" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhY3TFmHLpdOGNDLkosbPO1rAKQ6ZxBaFDzFzxNiDkh63VjC2pmXLS3LeqH6h107tczGpiBNi7iWOYZ_1TP7WbglLZLJnVIb3Knem_wy_-tS1S1Rr0WrUz6k35I0n81MfI4C8ecHKHCQqwHFrfU1fJyo23sLAQbk6rC7bRLp7e4W5zTAaBJMyj2w8Aq=w542-h640" width="542" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi2APV-ZVt5HgaTtOtvQXIbqsnePpyP2NxNdxPyiVg9BeFIW4laZijO21sa6TPESuqyYBp6uymY4PFJrQsyyOIWDBlkzz8TYDRI6a4CrCLzG5_xsF5OXAMNcllZcclhntbay2KLH2FqS7eUUqj-EmzY1vlggA8yRdvxC56T0kaUflM2wPCm7Y32ZyF3=s2993" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2993" data-original-width="2544" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi2APV-ZVt5HgaTtOtvQXIbqsnePpyP2NxNdxPyiVg9BeFIW4laZijO21sa6TPESuqyYBp6uymY4PFJrQsyyOIWDBlkzz8TYDRI6a4CrCLzG5_xsF5OXAMNcllZcclhntbay2KLH2FqS7eUUqj-EmzY1vlggA8yRdvxC56T0kaUflM2wPCm7Y32ZyF3=w544-h640" width="544" /></a></div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhzUsceNR9mF5onSc6qA9bIZCu6rhBUDZiHNIoul-Qq3h1zEsNRNtgzVrxqMBmCbyxsM2YlxP3q5Q3nLVdpqOFBcjoyfRGBEKu0IJBYdv11jOCwBi0LIGU8CNLh7QV4rzdIW19FvKWPzyCuJrxMYhNpoVU9dMM1K9qh1sl1bjAWbv0wjH5JgX8L1ZYW=s2743" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2743" data-original-width="2291" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhzUsceNR9mF5onSc6qA9bIZCu6rhBUDZiHNIoul-Qq3h1zEsNRNtgzVrxqMBmCbyxsM2YlxP3q5Q3nLVdpqOFBcjoyfRGBEKu0IJBYdv11jOCwBi0LIGU8CNLh7QV4rzdIW19FvKWPzyCuJrxMYhNpoVU9dMM1K9qh1sl1bjAWbv0wjH5JgX8L1ZYW=w534-h640" width="534" /></a></div><p></p><p>The sentiment is from the <b>TE</b> "Anytime Expressions" sentiment set that was free with purchase a few months ago. I'm stopping by today to share two birthday cards I made using some of my <b>Taylored Expressions</b> supplies. These were so simple to make even though they look involved! </p><p>My card bases feature the <b>Taylored Expressions</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/foil-it-full-of-flowers/">"Foil It - Full of Flowers"</a> which I foiled using my Scotch laminator and Deco Foil (gold and pewter) found <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WVH49ZN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1">here</a>. I added color to the card bases after I foiled them using distress inks and the TE <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/full-of-flowers-layering-stencil/">"Full of Flowers" layering stencil</a>. I die cut the edges and adhered to kraft card bases. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEio-m1vYsoS_H4_B7Pz3ZYEfaVAkS611YgTYV2D7G-uevi18MxedvEbh9E6WG9nBYlWkobAv4DfY5lUG5DAp0UzIhHuFZD2OZHZ9nfge-PdHfq6yxwrOH6EnxVm0wcx8Lsg-ylpJ06BgHPLe7HEh89A1pSPmvkgeRVDESxukhnGez0Ik7eMlDWI6ClK=s4030" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2307" data-original-width="4030" height="366" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEio-m1vYsoS_H4_B7Pz3ZYEfaVAkS611YgTYV2D7G-uevi18MxedvEbh9E6WG9nBYlWkobAv4DfY5lUG5DAp0UzIhHuFZD2OZHZ9nfge-PdHfq6yxwrOH6EnxVm0wcx8Lsg-ylpJ06BgHPLe7HEh89A1pSPmvkgeRVDESxukhnGez0Ik7eMlDWI6ClK=w640-h366" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div>The birthday sentiment is from the <b>TE</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/diamond-botanical/">"Diamond Botanical"</a> set, and the dots in the background are from the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/sketchbook-bouquet/">"Sketchbook Bouquet"</a> set. <div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhVW2h2YLbLDmaQC6NkX9xo5wp4B2E7cjGldR5fOsU6XKyefCpt7EpQiKa2rBejnVC3all9PVmLUAC5443121KYAQOrbmzEQGIcArHqucdYW7L2YtaK_czim5G3CXgvYekkV2YaBK0aubhdR7Y9ObAlotW4tNL2_NGeB1KqQaBm3D38ZYUQklFXD4uM=s2800" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2373" data-original-width="2800" height="542" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhVW2h2YLbLDmaQC6NkX9xo5wp4B2E7cjGldR5fOsU6XKyefCpt7EpQiKa2rBejnVC3all9PVmLUAC5443121KYAQOrbmzEQGIcArHqucdYW7L2YtaK_czim5G3CXgvYekkV2YaBK0aubhdR7Y9ObAlotW4tNL2_NGeB1KqQaBm3D38ZYUQklFXD4uM=w640-h542" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjk2ah7eYgYRN8zvwDl_KirbSbnfADrYiM4xiGydMW5Hr9gmRK6Du1c3vcE7jZMhrRWLO9GRxNTrKPdMqQCmqtTsi0JOWaU3RiYz6kg-6DZ1XT54Fz6TsF_nJmSFsFngn_UMjFbHEhcANjDKeHzz1oFX6zbOTKeVE696kogSSra0lISwKqjlv4k31cc=s2972" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2475" data-original-width="2972" height="532" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjk2ah7eYgYRN8zvwDl_KirbSbnfADrYiM4xiGydMW5Hr9gmRK6Du1c3vcE7jZMhrRWLO9GRxNTrKPdMqQCmqtTsi0JOWaU3RiYz6kg-6DZ1XT54Fz6TsF_nJmSFsFngn_UMjFbHEhcANjDKeHzz1oFX6zbOTKeVE696kogSSra0lISwKqjlv4k31cc=w640-h532" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I die cut the frames around the sentiment using gold foil paper and the <b>TE</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/frame-in-frame-2-cutting-plate/">"Frame in Frame 2"</a> cutting plate. I'm here today to share a card set I recently made featuring the <b>Taylored Expressions</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/ray-of-sunshine-cutting-plate/">"Ray of Sunshine"</a> cutting plate, a birthday sentiment from the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/itty-bitty-sentiments/">"Itty Bitty Sentiments"</a> set, and a pack of patterned paper that has been in my stash for too long!</p><p>I started out by pulling out eight coordinating papers from the <b>American Crafts</b> <a href="https://www.amazon.com/American-Crafts-Hip-Hooray-Paper/dp/B0126DKYUE">"Hip Hip Hooray"</a> paper pad. I die cut each paper and laid them all out in a row. I also ran the die through using black and red glitter papers so I could use the frames. </p><p>Here is what the die cut papers and the black glitter "frame" looked like before I started to assemble my cards:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjWsGLwO9edHOdSx1fQw_o2iVimbFcRLzC2C_OQYumAa4_jdpI0N8xVDaj4ZrGsaBnoSwvIUq9V6B_yl-fFTO9IeAYvz_IpHJCBE9HtH-m0rP_kUA2DxxinHZidROedxNLM9tceUKvUFKNCw9Rdzc_UzPcFNL5bTvhHWLK8vtGiZznbeOAeEmFuSzOf=s3531" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2009" data-original-width="3531" height="364" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjWsGLwO9edHOdSx1fQw_o2iVimbFcRLzC2C_OQYumAa4_jdpI0N8xVDaj4ZrGsaBnoSwvIUq9V6B_yl-fFTO9IeAYvz_IpHJCBE9HtH-m0rP_kUA2DxxinHZidROedxNLM9tceUKvUFKNCw9Rdzc_UzPcFNL5bTvhHWLK8vtGiZznbeOAeEmFuSzOf=w640-h364" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>I began to mix and match the pieces onto various coordinating card bases, and before I knew it I had a set of colorful cards ready for sentiments! </p><p>I am always in need of birthday cards, so I stamped the same birthday sentiment for all of my cards and popped them up with foam in the center of the cards. I am so pleased with the results!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhVSnrrTfypceOSw7hja42AA-Gol5By_dUD-TKHzZsyPPHTPeHYSkrrMKdF3nhv4rWzZJ06yIlfPj0Ja5v6nMxWNKTiLCI2aJg_u2jgURcv2CHqy0lC9yDWCpjUyBYZ8fbZ9VVg62T131acHinbzMDZMtfBPYyct-c5IFRJzeBTVQ__tyLbDXtcxOiM=s3532" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2733" data-original-width="3532" height="496" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhVSnrrTfypceOSw7hja42AA-Gol5By_dUD-TKHzZsyPPHTPeHYSkrrMKdF3nhv4rWzZJ06yIlfPj0Ja5v6nMxWNKTiLCI2aJg_u2jgURcv2CHqy0lC9yDWCpjUyBYZ8fbZ9VVg62T131acHinbzMDZMtfBPYyct-c5IFRJzeBTVQ__tyLbDXtcxOiM=w640-h496" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>My favorite of all the cards is the one featuring the black glitter frame. I'm happy to steal some time away from the busy day to share two cards. I was happy to be able to play with some of my <b>Taylored Expressions</b> goodies, and I made two cards while I had the supplies out. Both cards feature the TE <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/autumn-array-stamp-stencil-combo/">"Autumn Array" Stamp and Stencil Combo</a> as well as sentiments from the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/simple-strips-background/">"Simple Strips Background"</a> cut with coordinating die. I wanted to share a few cards I made this holiday season for several occasions...from Christmas to thank you's for holiday gifts to my daughter's holiday birthday (celebrated on 12/29).</p><p><br /></p><p>My first set of cards are slimline cards using the <b>Taylored Expressions</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/foil-it-seasonal-sprig/">"Foil It - Seasonal Sprig"</a> paired with sentiments from the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/seasonal-sprig/">"Seasonal Sprig"</a> stamp set and the coordinating <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/mini-slim-stencil-seasonal-sprig/">"Mini Slim Seasonal Sprig Layering Stencil."</a> I used various colors of Deco foil and ran the panels through my Scotch laminator...and voila! I love the shine! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjoyiE5pqLLbLEdlCw8wmJRg8boIuRh7fLvM8CgocTcLhxwpM74qj_OlL17ghM9vQNSiZD0Z2h4knbZzbjDdZLk8kRzvhQQEMJQgz1Sfo_l0MWWD-cD6zlo_m87Nm6vLdmsDSrQA6qywTXpCua07Tw858VC7Dg9XMCr2oJ1Ie75TfVqgwzywKbvPZVl=s2798" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2669" data-original-width="2798" height="610" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjoyiE5pqLLbLEdlCw8wmJRg8boIuRh7fLvM8CgocTcLhxwpM74qj_OlL17ghM9vQNSiZD0Z2h4knbZzbjDdZLk8kRzvhQQEMJQgz1Sfo_l0MWWD-cD6zlo_m87Nm6vLdmsDSrQA6qywTXpCua07Tw858VC7Dg9XMCr2oJ1Ie75TfVqgwzywKbvPZVl=w640-h610" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>My next card is a thank you note (with a sentiment from <b>Papertrey Ink</b>) featuring one of the four designs in the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/create-in-quads-mistletoe-layering-stencil/">"Create-in-Quads - Mistletoe Layering Stencil"</a> set. It has been quite a while since I've dropped by the old blog, hasn't it? </p><p>Life is busy, but I wanted to stop by to share some cards I recently made as part of a Mitzvah Day service project at my church. They were collecting cards for nursing home residents, so my 16-year-old son and I teamed up to participate. This year, I was able to make 20 cards, while he wrote the positive messages inside. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-33ISxt5zE38/YXRqkwyn8mI/AAAAAAAAPIk/B5E54GPP2BkwyWJzV-k50DjnUutEIpQCACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_2719.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-33ISxt5zE38/YXRqkwyn8mI/AAAAAAAAPIk/B5E54GPP2BkwyWJzV-k50DjnUutEIpQCACLcBGAsYHQ/w480-h640/IMG_2719.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qlZdRVoTDgg/YXRqk68MTTI/AAAAAAAAPIg/mG7RKDZHCL4p_HJahxut-rCnjFn3v8DTwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_2718.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qlZdRVoTDgg/YXRqk68MTTI/AAAAAAAAPIg/mG7RKDZHCL4p_HJahxut-rCnjFn3v8DTwCLcBGAsYHQ/w320-h240/IMG_2718.jpg" width="320" /></a><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dXxzhMZyuRY/YXRqk5DIpvI/AAAAAAAAPIc/hrE5Ut4ueFsk7f0Vgx4Gfz_BOPVtxsRogCLcBGAsYHQ/s1440/DFCB2D59-E282-4324-98AA-D5CEAB572F0F.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1440" data-original-width="1440" height="200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dXxzhMZyuRY/YXRqk5DIpvI/AAAAAAAAPIc/hrE5Ut4ueFsk7f0Vgx4Gfz_BOPVtxsRogCLcBGAsYHQ/w200-h200/DFCB2D59-E282-4324-98AA-D5CEAB572F0F.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><div><br /></div>I used a variety of products for my cards this year, including stamps, stencils, and dies from <b>Taylored Expressions, Papertrey Ink, Technique Tuesday, My Favorite Things, Mama Elephant, Impression Obsession, Concord & 9th </b>and<b> Simon Says Stamp</b>. I love being able to mix and match the supplies in my stash for occasions such as this. So many of these products work well together!<div><br /></div><div>My first set of cards features the <b>Taylored Expressions</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/doodle-flowers-background/">"Doodle Flowers Background"</a> combined with the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/handlettered-sentiments/">"Handlettered Sentiments"</a> in the center. I die cut the white panel with a <b>My Favorite Things</b> "Blueprints 20" scalloped-edge die. I added <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/bits-pieces-drip-drops/">Bits and Pieces Drip Drops</a> for a final touch. Since this is a very detailed floral image, I decided to add soft ink with blender brushes, then I went back and added more color on the stems and small flowers with Zig watercolor markers. That made this process much quicker! </div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qPx4-joG4lg/YXRr0CcHBEI/AAAAAAAAPIw/od_rTfuSoSwxP3GxEg3tCCmDu2EVZUrRACLcBGAsYHQ/s1399/C7E907FE-02B0-4D4C-B12A-B34EA740F46A.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="971" data-original-width="1399" height="444" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qPx4-joG4lg/YXRr0CcHBEI/AAAAAAAAPIw/od_rTfuSoSwxP3GxEg3tCCmDu2EVZUrRACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h444/C7E907FE-02B0-4D4C-B12A-B34EA740F46A.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /> </div><div>My next set of cards also featured <b>Taylored Expressions</b> stamps, stencils and dies paired with a <b>Simon Says Stamp</b> sentiment from the "Banner Sayings" set. For these cards, I used the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/full-of-flowers-cling-clear-combo/">"Full of Flowers" cling</a> along with the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/masking-stencils-color-block/">"Color Block" masking stencil</a> and the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/diagonal-stitch-rectangle-stacklets/">"Diagonal Stitch Rectangle" die</a>. After die cutting the white card base, I inked the base using the stencil. Without removing the stencil -- and adding back the stencil piece in the center -- I then stamped the floral image in a coordinating color. Finally, I removed the stencil and added the sentiment and drip drops before adhering to the card. </div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kaobODOUW4Q/YXRu6WritYI/AAAAAAAAPI4/0tQoTi07Ankr8y4Q3u1M3HXIvbEBYI3FQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1408/9F067A6A-9B38-40DD-9FD4-54159B3C847D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="989" data-original-width="1408" height="450" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kaobODOUW4Q/YXRu6WritYI/AAAAAAAAPI4/0tQoTi07Ankr8y4Q3u1M3HXIvbEBYI3FQCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h450/9F067A6A-9B38-40DD-9FD4-54159B3C847D.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Next up, more <b>Taylored Expressions</b>! For these cards, I used the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/full-of-flowers-cling-clear-combo/">"Full of Flowers" cling and clear combo set</a> along with the coordinating <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/full-of-flowers-layering-stencil/">stencil</a>. The sentiments are from the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/simple-strips-background/">"Simple Strips Background"</a> with coordinating dies (<a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/simple-strips-background/">here</a> and <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/simple-strips-backer/">here</a>). For the center card, I inked and stamped the images, but for the other two cards I stenciled on the colors with blender brushes. The coordinating Prima flowers were the final touch!</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zecziL1ZIaY/YXRvGWjx36I/AAAAAAAAPI8/ZHj61Szo1jcJf3VRiE2LY_eFO-ct3gvVwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1405/926C36C1-00B7-471D-B807-D4E93F79CA31.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="909" data-original-width="1405" height="414" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zecziL1ZIaY/YXRvGWjx36I/AAAAAAAAPI8/ZHj61Szo1jcJf3VRiE2LY_eFO-ct3gvVwCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h414/926C36C1-00B7-471D-B807-D4E93F79CA31.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div>This duo of cards features <b>Taylored Expressions</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/diamond-botanical/">"Diamond Botanical"</a> stamps and <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/diamond-botanical-die/">dies</a> paired with the <b>Impression Obsession</b> <a href="https://www.iostamps.com/product/CC177.html">"Wooden Plank"</a> background stamp. I colored these with Zig watercolor markers. I really love this stamp set!</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5E2epKghXFc/YXRvU78W27I/AAAAAAAAPJA/BrlnPKQeoy8Obtp3C2M4Upeu9JymX2cUgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1371/64965C82-AF21-4C68-8EA4-811908B68096.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="913" data-original-width="1371" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5E2epKghXFc/YXRvU78W27I/AAAAAAAAPJA/BrlnPKQeoy8Obtp3C2M4Upeu9JymX2cUgCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h426/64965C82-AF21-4C68-8EA4-811908B68096.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div><br />The next two cards were so quick and easy...I could have easily made many more of this style. These feature the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/here-comes-the-sun-stencil/">"Here Comes the Sun"</a> stencil from <b>Taylored Expressions</b> paired with a sentiment from <b>Technique Tuesday's</b> <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/bring-on-the-sun-stamp-set-by-ali-edwards.html">"Bring On the Sun"</a> set.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8Ig8HdVou_Y/YXRvpT7ErNI/AAAAAAAAPJM/ffPm8qfcvO0MupP8Ey6r3j5wsHhGz9yswCLcBGAsYHQ/s1401/E6306181-4991-4528-AFDC-DD331226BC9F.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1002" data-original-width="1401" height="458" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8Ig8HdVou_Y/YXRvpT7ErNI/AAAAAAAAPJM/ffPm8qfcvO0MupP8Ey6r3j5wsHhGz9yswCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h458/E6306181-4991-4528-AFDC-DD331226BC9F.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div>The next cards feature one of my favorite go-to stamps ever: the <b>Papertrey Ink</b> "Wreath for all Seasons" stamp set. I paired it with a <b>Simon Says Stamp</b> sentiment from the "Very Special" set. The woodgrain background is the <b>Impression Obsession</b> <a href="https://www.iostamps.com/product/CC177.html">"Wooden Plank"</a> background stamp...another favorite! I punched the gingham bows with a <b>Martha Stewart</b> "Ribbon Bow" punch and used a <b>Cuttlebug</b> embossing border folder to add the dry-embossed stitch down the side.</div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0ftdi2pgz6o/YXRv5HBKpfI/AAAAAAAAPJU/LjdYZeMLlpoDJdhD8BbPGDSvJWJQZbhhQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1432/1608360D-7349-441B-B797-890F31DD5AE3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="908" data-original-width="1432" height="406" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0ftdi2pgz6o/YXRv5HBKpfI/AAAAAAAAPJU/LjdYZeMLlpoDJdhD8BbPGDSvJWJQZbhhQCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h406/1608360D-7349-441B-B797-890F31DD5AE3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><p>For my final card I used a card base from <b>Concord & 9th</b> and stamped the sentiments from the <b>Mama Elephant</b> <a href="https://mamaelephant.com/products/hello-friend-wishes">"Hello Friend Wishes"</a> set, embossing them with sparkly embossing powder. What an easy design this would be to mass produce!</p></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-69qAar6eri8/YXRwIp6l5mI/AAAAAAAAPJY/PpV1Kc79Jd0b4NUxUy4E3XLSDCOIeQJAgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1118/61076FBE-2BF6-4235-AD4C-B5B82CD28019.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1118" data-original-width="908" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-69qAar6eri8/YXRwIp6l5mI/AAAAAAAAPJY/PpV1Kc79Jd0b4NUxUy4E3XLSDCOIeQJAgCLcBGAsYHQ/w520-h640/61076FBE-2BF6-4235-AD4C-B5B82CD28019.JPG" width="520" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div>Since I was not going to address the front of the envelopes, I decided to add some color in the corner using an older <b>Papertrey Ink</b> set called "Framed Out #1." Ever since I purchased the "Field Notes 2" kit from <b>Taylored Expressions</b>, I have had the desire to keep making cards! So, I decided to make a few birthday cards to replenish my stash.</p><p><br /></p><p>For my first card, I used the <b>Taylored Expressions</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/masking-stencils-rectangles/">Rectangle Masking Stencils</a> to add blue distress ink behind the floral image (note that this kit came with a stencil mask for the flowers...brilliant!). It just so happened that the <b>Stampin' Up</b> "tulip border" embossing folder fit perfectly around the stenciled background! The sentiment is from the <b>Taylored Expressions</b> <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/simple-strips-background/">Simple Strips Background</a> stamp and matching die set. I watercolored the flowers using my <b>Zig</b> watercolor brushes.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mxIyas_Cb6o/YDwS-n4H4ZI/AAAAAAAAO9Y/1gi4lCGbRAo9RcgiCpi_b5Y0cye721oNwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0742.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1519" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mxIyas_Cb6o/YDwS-n4H4ZI/AAAAAAAAO9Y/1gi4lCGbRAo9RcgiCpi_b5Y0cye721oNwCLcBGAsYHQ/w474-h640/IMG_0742.jpg" width="474" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>For my second card, I used a few <b>Taylored Expressions</b> stencils together, including <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/masking-stencils-ovals/">Oval Masking Stencils</a> and <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/here-comes-the-sun-stencil/">Here Comes the Sun</a> over the masking stencil of the flower image. The sentiment is again from the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/simple-strips-background/">Simple Strips Background</a> stamp and matching die set. I lucked out again, as the<b> Darice</b> oval embossing folder fit perfectly! The flowers were watercolored using distress inks.<div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KfgVcSlHUNg/YDwS-l2L-lI/AAAAAAAAO9Q/6aGNDYq1TEMnIm_XZ7h-lgegI2_UnJ5SQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0743.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1501" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KfgVcSlHUNg/YDwS-l2L-lI/AAAAAAAAO9Q/6aGNDYq1TEMnIm_XZ7h-lgegI2_UnJ5SQCLcBGAsYHQ/w470-h640/IMG_0743.jpg" width="470" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>My final card features the "Field Note 2" flowers masked and background inked and features a <b>Taylored Expressions</b> sentiment from the <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/handlettered-sentiments/">Handlettered Sentiments</a> set. Such a simple one-layer card!</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--Z9PrkQPo98/YDwS-q6m4XI/AAAAAAAAO9U/l03l4oFA2-QNzLTq0oM76LsGzbxo4oTCgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0744.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1563" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--Z9PrkQPo98/YDwS-q6m4XI/AAAAAAAAO9U/l03l4oFA2-QNzLTq0oM76LsGzbxo4oTCgCLcBGAsYHQ/w488-h640/IMG_0744.jpg" width="488" /></a></div><br /><p>It's a shame that this kit is sold out, I do hope it comes back in stock soon. I had to stop by today to share a set of cards I made with the new <a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com">Taylored Expressions</a> "Field Notes 2" kit. I knew as soon as I saw the pretty flowers and the splatter background stamp that I HAD to get it! </p><p>I am so glad I did, I can see how versatile this set is and I can't wait to share what I made!</p><p><br /></p><p>Here is what came in the kit...</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PbSkkjWN3Y4/YDXCLbT8D8I/AAAAAAAAO7c/LAvYKp_aBtIQvKmTSi5u2xz5PLRe-pXnACLcBGAsYHQ/s1000/FIELD-NOTES-2-FULL-KIT.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="825" data-original-width="1000" height="528" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PbSkkjWN3Y4/YDXCLbT8D8I/AAAAAAAAO7c/LAvYKp_aBtIQvKmTSi5u2xz5PLRe-pXnACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h528/FIELD-NOTES-2-FULL-KIT.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I decided to stamp and die cut the flowers on watercolor paper, then colored in a variety of shades using my Zig watercolor markers. It has been quite a while since I made my way over to my blog...it seems that life has taken me in several different directions, and the past year as been nothing less than a whirlwind. Too much to even try to cover here...and that's likely not why you're here anyway, so I'll spare you the details!</p><p>I'd like to share a handful of Valentine's Day cards I made as part of a service project at my son's high school. As part of a service project, he wanted to send Valentine's Day cards to a local nursing home. So, I worked with him on the project: I made the cards, and he wrote the notes inside, both of us hoping to spread some Valentine's Day cheer. By now, these have been distributed and read, hopefully bringing smiles along the way.</p><p>I made four main sets of cards using some on my favorite stamp sets. Picture-heavy post ahead!</p><p><b><u>First up</u></b>: Cards featuring the <b>Lawn Fawn</b> "Party Koala" bear, paired with patterned papers, and either a <b>Nicole</b> die cut ("xoxo"), a <b>Hero Arts</b> sentiment, or a random sentiment from an old woodblock stamp. It has been a while since I've popped on to the blog...SO much going on these days, too much to get into here!<br />
<br />
Of course you know the reason I am here...to share a card for the <a href="http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2020/05/2020-spring-summer-coffee-lovers-blog-hop/">Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop</a> going on until May 29th. I haven't missed a hop yet, and I'm not about to start! Boy, I am just under the wire!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Gte10_vl3SQ/Xs8u2cJ0D9I/AAAAAAAAOg8/XEFueGHJFpwYqPHj9YjEzVgGg36Hn5A_QCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Spring%2BSummer%2BCLBH%2B2020%2B84463347_1073238026377499_2781104844440600576_n.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Gte10_vl3SQ/Xs8u2cJ0D9I/AAAAAAAAOg8/XEFueGHJFpwYqPHj9YjEzVgGg36Hn5A_QCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Spring%2BSummer%2BCLBH%2B2020%2B84463347_1073238026377499_2781104844440600576_n.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For my card, I paired the sweet coffee cups from <b>Lawn Fawn</b>'s "<a href="https://www.lawnfawn.com/products/love-you-a-latte">Love You a Latte</a>" set with the <b>My Favorite Things</b> sentiment (from the retired "Stay Cool" set) and their burlap background stamp. The coffee cups were stamped onto a fun summery patterned paper and fussy cut.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UkG42-vTYWc/XtGJQC2ymbI/AAAAAAAAOhQ/XVzqrU108sUa_BykR47hZA476m3NNvPWwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/5-29-2020%2BCLBH%2BCard%2BIMG_2666.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1346" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UkG42-vTYWc/XtGJQC2ymbI/AAAAAAAAOhQ/XVzqrU108sUa_BykR47hZA476m3NNvPWwCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/5-29-2020%2BCLBH%2BCard%2BIMG_2666.jpg" width="538" /></a></div>
<br />
Thanks for stopping by...stay well...and enjoy the hop!<br />

The holidays are well over, but I realized I never shared a set of cards I made this Christmas using the <b>Unity Stamp Company's</b> <a href="https://www.unitystampco.com/blessed-baby/">"Blessed Baby"</a> stamp set. <br />
<br />
I made a variety of cards using this main image. I used sentiments from various stamp companies including <b>Simon Says Stamp</b> ("Nativity"), <b>Hero Arts</b> ("Joy to You") and <b>Jane Doodles</b> ("Vintage Christmas"). <br />
<br />
For all of my cards, I used distress inks for the backgrounds and Copic markers to color the main image.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RgCOqxp2BBY/XiuYrlYRTrI/AAAAAAAAOSg/9eIkFgtKdTM2mOBcIhr1gYmv095f4SllwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Untitled-20.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1047" data-original-width="815" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RgCOqxp2BBY/XiuYrlYRTrI/AAAAAAAAOSg/9eIkFgtKdTM2mOBcIhr1gYmv095f4SllwCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/Untitled-20.jpg" width="498" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0g3XUSLMCoA/XiuYr2iCLII/AAAAAAAAOSo/xj6rLXLMwkUnYs2FnX63RP-qTeCJCdVcwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Untitled-21.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1005" data-original-width="774" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0g3XUSLMCoA/XiuYr2iCLII/AAAAAAAAOSo/xj6rLXLMwkUnYs2FnX63RP-qTeCJCdVcwCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/Untitled-21.jpg" width="492" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
For the next two cards, I stenciled the oval backgrounds using distress inks and the <b>Taylored Expressions Masking Stencils</b> (<a href="https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/masking-stencils-ovals/">oval</a>). Love these! I also used an oval doily embossing folder on some to add dimension.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aAqkR79F-Ig/XiuYsdCbzuI/AAAAAAAAOSw/Qe7yDaaK-GMGdvST2j5EFS2bH_MQGF-VgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Untitled-24.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1022" data-original-width="757" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aAqkR79F-Ig/XiuYsdCbzuI/AAAAAAAAOSw/Qe7yDaaK-GMGdvST2j5EFS2bH_MQGF-VgCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/Untitled-24.jpg" width="474" /></a></div>
<br />
I really love this <b>Unity Stamp</b> set and hope to use it each year when making Christmas cards.<br />
<br />
As an aside, I thought I'd also share a picture of the M&M jars I made for Christmas gifts this year (gave to dance teachers, etc.) using recycled Starbucks jars. This is such an easy, fun way to reuse, recycle, <i>and</i> craft! I always buy bulk containers of M&M's at the local wholesale club because the cost is very reasonable. For this craft, I spray painted the cleaned Starbucks jar lids black, and adhered free labels I found online and printed. A few ribbons at the top ... and done!<br />
<br />

<br />
Hello, friends!<br />
<br />
OK, I think by now you remember why I am here! This is day four of sharing cards I made for the <a href="https://www.cardsforlittlehearts.com/">Cards for Little Hearts</a> heart-themed card drive, going on right now until the end of the month. Please check out Christina's website for details. All cards must be received by the end of January so they can be distributed in February, which is National Heart Month. You have a day or two left!<br />

This set of cards features the sweet <b>Lawn Fawn</b> koala stamp and heart dies paired with <b>Pretty Pink Posh</b> and <b>Taylored Expressions</b> sentiments, a <b>Hero Arts</b> background stamp, and the "xoxo" die from <b>Nicole</b>. I also used some pink heart gems as well as die cut hearts from red glitter paper.</div>
<br />
I'm going to enter this first card into the current "Clean and Simple" theme challenge at <a href="http://addictedtostamps-challenge.blogspot.com/2020/01/challenge-374-cas.html">Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #374</a>. <br />

<br />
I just love this sweet little koala image from <b>Lawn Fawn</b>. I figured with all that is going on in Australia right now, this would be a fitting image to use.<br />
<br />
Thank you for sticking with me this week...I am dedicated to the <a href="https://www.cardsforlittlehearts.com/">Cards for Little Hearts</a> card drive and just want to spread the word.<br />
