Hello, friends! I'm peeking in today with a quick, easy one-layer card I made for my stash of Halloween cards for all my little nieces and nephews. How perfect that the challenge this week at
Less Is More: Week 245 is one-layer cards using the theme AUTUMN?
I have to thank Claire (from
Bearydo Papery) who led me to purchase a heavy weight (140 lb.) watercolor paper pad. She uses Canson but I wound up buying a
Strathmore 9x13 pad at my local craft store with a 50% off coupon and it was very inexpensive! I highly recommend this type of paper if you like to color with Copics; there was very little bleed through to the other side.
So, I cut one sheet of paper and folded to make two cards. I stamped this fun
Great Impressions pumpkin image paired with a
Hero Arts sentiment. I colored the pumpkins and grass with Copics and watercolored the blue sky.
I may be back with another card for this challenge...I think I'm in need of some "coloring therapy" this weekend...a lot of health issues currently going on with extended family, things are a bit stressful at the moment. Coloring an image like this is a nice little break from reality!
Thanks for stopping by!
