Freshly Made Sketch #186: You've Aged Beautifully

Hello, friends!  I've been playing with some new (to me) stamps and I couldn't wait to use them with the current Freshly Made Sketch #186 by Jen Brum.  Isn't this a fun sketch?


Apparently some people find the circle "threatening," but I actually love it!  I paired a funny stamp by Art Impressions with a sentiment from Paper Smooches and a Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder, and voila!  This birthday card is going to my older sister in the fall...she appreciates my dry sense of humor.  




When I showed this card to my 15-year-old daughter, she laughed, and exclaimed, "She looks like you!"  (Uh, wrong!  I don't have fuzzy bunny slippers!)  Kids -- and siblings -- are so good for our egos, aren't they?  :)

I'm also entering this card into the current Art Impressions Challenge #159 - "Lovely Ladies" since Maude is one lovely lady!

    I'm trying to imagine the woman in your blog photo as the woman on the card....they just don't go together at all!! Although, who know's what we wear behind closed doors....I think this card is hilarious and love the coffee cup embossing in the background. Awesomesauce!!
