Hello, friends! I'm stopping by today to let you know that I am being featured over at CASology today, so go check it out!
I am so excited to be a part of the CASology Design Team because I get to help celebrate the 100th challenge this week! I have a fun little card to share with you, showcasing my favorite go-to style: "clean and simple!"
I have never been a big fan of bulky cards with lots of layers. I think the main reason for that is I mail most of my cards, and it is difficult (and more expensive) to mail bulky cards! So, from the very start, I have always loved a flat card with minimal layers that I can easily stuff in an envelope with no fear of it getting damaged in the mail.
So, here is a clean and simple card to thank YOU!
Stamp by Precious Remembrance Shop, "thanks" die by Simon Says Stamp, inks by Hero Arts
As my way of thanking all of the wonderful CASology participants and followers, I have a little blog candy to give away! I've included some goodies from some of my favorite stamp companies. Just leave me a comment in the next 24 hours telling me your favorite stamping style and I'll draw a random winner on Saturday morning at 11:00AM. Good luck!
I know I say it every week, but I really do appreciate your visits and your lovely comments...you are the best!
Have a great day!
Judy
I am a CAS cardmaker - I just can't create in any other style. I enjoyed your interview at CASology. Your cards are wonderful.

ReplyDeleteOh, Shelly, YES I know your go-to style! I named you the Queen of CAS, did't I? :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHi Judy! Couldn't resist - since I've started making my own cards for family and friends, I've purchased many patterned paper packs and then am overwhelmed by them =[ So happy I found you all at CASology - I was a born CAS card maker and didn't even know it!!
ReplyDeleteMichele Ferguson

DeleteAdore this card Judy, great feature too. Love being on CASology with you my friend. Of course do not draw my name!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tracey! The pleasure is all mine!
DeleteMy favorite stamping style is definitely CAS. Honestly I do recognise a perfectly good shabby chic card, but when I come accros a beauty of a CAS card my face lights up in a smile. I find comfort and stress release in making CAS cards - it is basically therapy for me.
ReplyDeleteHi, Pia! You do CAS so well, and I agree -- it can be very therapeutic!
DeleteHi Judy. Just wanted to say that it is so wonderful to get to know you and to be on the same design team as you. Your card today is CAS at its best, and prepare to be cased. I think you know this, but my favorite card style is...wait for it...CAS!! Hugs, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked, Joyce! You like CAS, too? :) Thanks for your kind words!
Deleteyay! I love the use of the negative cut on here, and what a fun stitching die too! Happy to be a new follower and can't wait to see more of your work!
ReplyDeleteLisa
Hi Lisa! Thanks for signing on as a new follower, I hope you enjoy your visits...I'm happy to have you!
DeleteWonderful card, so clean yet striking and gets the message across. I didn't have a style when I first started blogging 18 months ago but CAS has fast become my favourite style. One layer cards used to scare me but I find myself making them more and more now. I also love lots of lovely white space. Thanks for the chance to win :)
ReplyDeleteNeets, thanks for sharing...you certainly do CAS cards beautifully!
Deleteanother fabulous CAS design, judy!! CASology is so fortunate to have you as a designer and I'm so happy that I got to be on the team with you!! looking forward to seeing you create more fun CAS designs... cuz you know i love me some CAS!!
ReplyDeleteHey, Rosemary! Your amazing cards are the reason I found CASology in the first place! (SO THANKS for that!) You do CAS so beautifully, I am always inspired by your work!
DeleteI love your card, Judy! The blues pulled me in, and I love your paint slashes as background. I'm evolving into a more CAS card style, but every once in awhile, I'll still make something that won't fit into an envelope.....those get handed to special people! Congrats on your feature today at CASology!
ReplyDeleteLin, your cards are always gorgeous and you can do any style well -- that's what I admire about you the most! I must admit that I also make the occasonal layered (even bulky!) card if I know I will be hand-delivering it. Thanks for your constant support!
DeleteHi Judy,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your feature at CASology today!!! I really enjoyed learning more about you...and what a busy life you have! I love all the colors in your 'Thanks' card, and how you kept your design CAS, as well! It's something you do so well, and have inspired me to implement in my card designs...so, thank "You"!
My favorite style is CAS, but I do love to add just a touch of layering with die cuts...so, I guess that would be called Clean & Layered! Thank you so much for a chance to win in your giveaway...you are most generous!
Hi Barb, thanks for your kind words and for your constant support at my blog! I agree with you. sometimes "clean and layered" is fun when playing with die cuts. So glad you enjoy playing along at CASology!
DeleteThis is so pretty!! I love the colors you used and the paint background. I LOVE CAS howeverI have a difficult time pulling it off. Right now my favorite product to use would be foam tape. I just make sure I don't make it too bulky so I won't have to pay extra postage.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your feature today. I love your cards!!
Hi, Nora! Thanks for your kind comments. I use foam tape for some dimension as long as Ican squish it enough in the envelope so it doesn't require extra postage...just like you!
DeleteThank you for the chance to win these goodies. I'm new to stamping so I'm still learning new technique everyday. But I do love the Clean and Simple Cas style. Love your cards too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Quyen! I appreciate your kind words and hope you continue to play along at CASology when you can!
DeleteAwesome prize! Thanks for the chance to win it! Love the dies and stamps you picked!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite style of card is CAS! Love some white space, usually lots of it.... love your thanks card with the inlaid die cut and simple layers! Great colors too!
Thanks so much, Denise! I agree, I love white space, too. A hallmark of CAS!
DeleteSo enjoyed getting to know a little more about you over at CASology, Judy ... left a message over there for you! Such a gorgeous card ... wonderful colour palette and so perfectly CAS ... just my favourite style! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteAnita, thanks for your kind comments. You are always so positive and thoughtful, and your CAS card style is always an inspiration to me!
DeleteHi Judy, my first visit to your blog. Great to learn a bit more about you over at CASology. Love your card. Off to have a look around.
ReplyDeleteWelcome!
DeleteHi again, loving your blog. My favourite stamping style is resist stamping. Always great to get those under colours showing through
ReplyDeleteHi Gail, thanks for your nice comments. I also like resist stamping...it's a fun was to play with colors and still keep the card flat! :)
DeleteVery pretty card. I love that you choose the green/blue color combo. TFS
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa, thanks for your nice words! I used a mix of Hero Arts mid-tone and shadow inks in pool and tide pool and I love how they blend together so nicely!
DeleteHi Judy. It was so much fun learning more about you on the CASology blog today. I have learned so much about CAS from your DT and appreciate all of the beautiful inspiration. Have a good evening!
ReplyDeleteEllen, you are so kind! We love your CAS style and love it when you play along at CASology!
Deletelove those shades of blue. hmm. my favorite style is stark. i rarely achieve it but I love a striking style with as little as possible. Yet, sometimes I pile it on!
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, thanks so much! I love your description of a "striking style with as little as possible." That's CAS in my book!
DeleteAlready follow your blog and always love seeing a new post from you. The interview was fantastic and hope you have new people who read that and begin following your adventures. I've only been seriously making just cards for about six months and love joining in the challenges at Casology. I never thought I had a style until I realised that if a 'Clean and Simple' theme comes up on any challenges, that all of my cards can be entered. So it would seem I'm a CAS Girl through and through!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Shona! So glad you found us at CASology and continue to enjoy making CAS cards!
DeleteJudy loved the card as I do all of your work which I put on my Pinterest board. My style has changed since I began challenges and once I prided myself in four layers of paper and now I use two and lots of white.
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks...I am very flattered! I am a big fan of your cards, and I know them right away when you play along at CASology because I am always drwn to them! It's funny how our styles evolve, isn't it?
DeleteHi Judy, congrats on the CAS feature!! Very delightful card, love the colours and the idea of movements the stamping gave!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Cindy! And thanks for your frequent visits to my blog and your constant encouragement. You are always so sweet!
DeleteHi Judy! I enjoyed finding out a little more about you over on the CASology blog and congrats to you and the DT on 100 challenges! I have learned so much about CAS and maybe will achieve one day. I am more of a CAL card maker. I love your card that you created today!
ReplyDeleteHi Chriss, thanks for your kind words today! I admire the clean and layered style, too, and admit that I go there from time to time. Thanks for your sweet compliments!
DeleteLove your card. I, too, try to avoid many layers because I'm always sending them overseas. At the moment, I'm find myself more and more drawn towards CAS cards. At the beginning of this year, I also set a goal for myself to creat more one-layer cards, but the way things are going right now, I'm only making cards in my head, since my crafting time is very limited.
ReplyDeleteMarianne, your comment made me smile -- I've had plenty of days on which I am only "making cards in my head!" I love your goal to make one layer cards, I think I should try that!
DeleteWhat a wonderful interview, Judy! You're such a busy and talented lady. Beautiful card and I love the stitched borders. CAS style and it's what I strive for, though I'm not always successful.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Cindy! I love your CAS style...hope you continue to enjoy it!
DeleteLoved your interview, Judy! I love your card and CAS style. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kristie! I do love your CAS style...you are super talented!
