This week our sponsor is Kitty Bee Designs and we were given two images to pay with; one is called "Emily the Elephant" and the other is "Kite Fun Panda." Both depict our cue word well -- strong winds and a strong animal!
I had some fun with both images, and I paired them with a pretty sentiment designed by my CASology Design Teammate, Hannelie. I printed both images and sentiments directly onto one piece of heavy card stock, then cut in half and scored to make my cards.
First up, this cute kite-flying panda. I know you need some STRONG winds to keep a kite flying up in the air!
I used a Cuttlebug border embossing folder to add interest to the bottom half of the card, maintaining white space. I added white dots on the kite and the panda's cheeks with a white gel pen...I think it adds a lot of interest to a very CAS design.
Next up is Emily the Elephant. She is a STRONG animal, but definitely cute, too! My printed image and sentiment were not perfectly centered on the card, so I balanced them by adding a strip of washi tape down the side of the card.
Again, I love the effect of the white gel pen dots on the eyes and cheeks! The little red flower gem is a fun extra touch.
These cards are terrific, Judy! Your coloring is perfect on both!
ReplyDeleteLove that you used both images in such creative ways, Judy! So fabulous that you got to use one of Hannelie's wonderful sentiments too! Clever and creative use of washi tape too (need to remember that for my not-so-central images) and that flower gem is SO cute!
ReplyDeleteAwww...I really LOVE how you played with both images, Judy! Two really adorable cards and great sentiments, too!
