CASology #208: JOURNEY
Hello, friends! Welcome back for another cue card at CASology! This week it is not about the destination, we are focusing on the JOURNEY.
This week I decided to let my combined sentiment be the main focal point of my card, with the dashed line and punched butterflies added for interest. The floral frame and subtle stamping on the card base also add interest but don't take away from the focal point.
I can't wait to see your JOURNEY cards! Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). Check out the Design Team and Guest Designer blogs for more inspiration, too!

CASology #207: ROUGH
Hello, friends! Happy Tuesday! You know what that means, right? A new cue card at CASology!
My thoughts went to making a card for someone going through a rough time...and that's what led me to this stencil and stamp set by STAMPlorations (our sponsor this week).
I masked the stencil so that only one flower was inked, and I added the ever-elusive-in-photographs Wink of Stella to the petals. The sentiment fit perfectly inside the stem!
So, what does ROUGH bring to mind for you? Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time) and visit the Design Team and Guest Designer for more inspiration!
I'm also entering this card in the current STAMPlorations July CAS Card Challenge (I used a touch of orange, the optional twist color, in the flower petal). In addition, I'm also adding it to the STAMPlorations Never-Ending Anything Goes Challenge!
Thanks for visiting,

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #14
Hello, friends! It's time for the latest Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #14...check out this fun challenge board!
For my card, I went with the third row down: Add Dimensional / Intricate Dies / Ribbon.
I added dimension by mounting the entire card panel on foam tape, and then added turquoise rhinestones to the butterfly body. I used my favorite intricate butterfly die with blue glitter paper and mounted it on top of a strip of polka dot ribbon. I thought the sentiment was a perfect fit for this layout!
I am also linking my card up to the July CAS card challenge at STAMPlorations blog where it is Anything CAS Goes (with an optional color twist of orange -- obviously I did not choose that option!).
I hope you are able to play along with us for Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #14 -- this board has so many possibilities! Be sure to check out the inspiring cards by the Design Team and then join in the fun!
Thanks for stopping by!

CASology #206: ART
This week we are challenged to make a card about ART. Aren't all of our cards art? Why was this cue so challenging to me, then? After much deliberation and searching through my stash, I decided to keep it simple and fun and make a card using this adorable bunny from Gerda Steiner Designs paired with some art-inspired sentiments from Precious Remembrance Shop.
Supplies:
Gerda Steiner Designs "Brush Bunny"
Precious Remembrance Shop "Blossom Art"
Simon Says Stamp Coral Reef dye ink
Copic markers
Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle dies
I can't wait to see your ART this week! Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the many ways our Design Team and Guest Designer interpreted the cue this week...be sure to check out their blogs, too!

New Release at Precious Remembrance Shop!
Hello, friends! I'm so excited to be here today to share my card for the newest Precious Remembrance Shop release! The newest stamp set is called "Totally" and can be used for cards, scrapbooking, journaling, planners, mixed media art, and so much more!
If you are hopping along, you should have arrived at my blog from the super talented and creative Sue Lelli's blog. If you want to start from the beginning, you can follow the line-up below:
Precious Remembrance Shop
Lisa Elton
Sue Lelli
Judy Marino --> that's me!
OK, now for my card. I know I have mentioned before that I do not consider myself a very "artsy" card maker; I tend to prefer clean lines, minimal layers, simple layouts. I love that these sets from PRS really challenge me and stretch my creative mind to the limit! I also love that the sets coordinate so well -- and I used several sets for my card today!
Yes, I kept to my usual style of clean lines but I did have some fun with colors...pairing bubblegum pink with black and white. The fill-in-the-blank "adorable" is from the "Thanks" stamp set, while the adorable heart is from "Happy Art." I used a simple strip of washi tape to divide the card in two sections, and I also added extra touches with a clear glitter pen and Glossy Accents. Can you see them in the light?
Can you guess what's coming next? You guessed it, a chance to win this set! Leave a comment to the shop's blog post and each of the designer's blogs and please let us know what you think of the set!
Thanks for stopping by...now you are off to Deidre's blog!
Happy hopping!

CASology #205: CHEVRON
Hello, friends! I'm here today with our next cue card at CASology...and I think it is going to be a popular one!
I'm willing to bet you have something with a chevron pattern in your crafty stash. Paper? Stencil? Stamp? Die or punch? Embossing folder? I have almost all of the above! That actually made it difficult to decide what to use...but I wound up going with chevron paper and a punch. Simple, quick, and flat for mailing!
(This picture almost looks black and white, right? I actually used a variety of shades of gray papers!)
So, what does CHEVRON bring to mind for you? Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). Our Design Team and Guest Designer have amazing cards to inspire you, too...be sure to check out their blogs!

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #13
Hello, friends! Today is the day...my first post as a new Design Team member for the latest Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #13!
I chose to work with the diagonal theme: Stars and Stripes - Border Stamp - Quote Sentiment.
My card is not my usual "clean and simple" style, but I did have fun playing with all these patriotic colors and patterned papers. I was definitely thinking of Independence Day coming up on July 4th here in the U.S.A. when I made this card!
Supplies:
Sentiment and die cut from My Favorite Things: Vertical Greetings
Striped background from Hero Arts: Large Canvas Stripes
Lace border stamp from Limited Edition: Ribbons & Lace
Star dies from Spellbinders
Other: Patterned paper, sequins
Now it's your turn to head over to the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Blog to see all the amazing inspiration provided by the Design Team...and then be sure to play along! You have until July 15th at 11:55 p.m. Central time to join in the fun.
Thanks for stopping by today!
