So, here's the deal. I have worn glasses (or contact lenses for some time in high school) for many, many years. However, over the past few years, my vision has been changing and, alas, I had to go to "progressive lenses" last year. Ugh! It seems to me that I'm constantly moving my glasses up and down so I can see things more clearly. When I saw this cue card, the first thing I thought of was my desire to have clear vision!
When I was a kid, there were very few glasses frames from which to choose. Today it seems that glasses are an accessory...there are so many cute styles! Wouldn't these red polka dot frames be fun to wear? They do make quite a statement!

ReplyDeleteSuch sweet polka dotted frames! I was the only one in my whole family who didn't wear glasses... Then I went to readers, and am now wearing trifocals. Not fun, but you're so right about the cute frames out now! This is a great card, and I love how you've framed it with that lovely embossed oval. Very cute! Bev

ReplyDeleteI had to pick a new frame for my glasses over the weekend, and went with almost the same (boring) one I have now. Maybe I should have picked a polkadot one!

Judy what a fabulous card! I love those specs. I am with you, I have been wearing glasses for reading for about 10 years but could manage without. Not anymore I can't read anything without them and yes bi-focals are in my horizon too.
ReplyDeleteThose glasses are so sassy - I love them! Love your story too. I've needed glasses since I was about 12. I mostly wear contacts now - can't handle glasses slipping down my nose all the time in this humidity!
