When I think of "blossom," I think of cherry blossom trees that bloom in the spring and how beautiful they look against a clear blue sky. Here is a good example:
This idea was the inspiration behind my card.
I also made a second variation of this card using the same image (a Studio G $1 stamp), a Simon Says Stamp die, some bold colors, and a spritz of Perfect Pearls mist to add shine.
Since I embossed both floral images in white, I am entering these cards into Virginia's Virginia's View Challenge #13 - All Things Embossed. I'm just under the wire, too!
Finally, I am also entering these cards into the current The Paper Players #236 "Clean and Simple: Floral."

ReplyDeleteWow, these are beautiful! I totally adore the soft and subtle look of the white card. Thanks so much for joining us at The Paper Players.
ReplyDeleteJudy, I just love that soft and delicate blossom in your first card. Your colouring is so lovely, and love how you paired it with such a whimsical sentiment. Funny how we both thought 'cherry blossom'. That photo that you posted was exactly the image I had in my head! Being a 'brights' girl, I loved your second card too, and think that bolder sentiment was perfectly matched with the bright orange. Great technique!
ReplyDeleteA little blessing came through my mailbox door the other day! Thank you so much, Judy, for the sweet, sweet card!! As to these...well, these are just beautiful. LOVE the first one so much; it just speaks to my heart. And the second one is so full of fun color; it's just a happy card. Well done! Hope you have a great weekend. Bev
