Well, this cue came at the right time. At this point in time I am "under the wire" finishing any summer projects I had left (I return to work today), and I am "under pressure" to have the kids' school supplies ready to go for the first day of school tomorrow! I can't believe my two oldest children will be going off to high school...and for the first time ever I will have children taking a bus! (A very early bus, I might add...yikes!) At least none of us is feeling "under the weather," right? So many ways to go with this cue!
Despite all those ideas using the cue word, I went with a more literal interpretation. I used an awesome digi from Jacki Rockwell's "Rockin' Digis" that included the sentiment under the image in the same shape...I love it and had to paper-piece it!
I printed the digi image directly onto the light green card, then again onto pink and green patterned papers. I fussy cut, glued together, and done! Lots of open space, one main image, no embellishments. Clean and simple!
Since I paper-pieced the watermelon, I'm adding this to the current Viginia's View Challenge #7: Pattern Paper. I love to paper-piece images!
Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the many ways our Design Team and Guest Designers interpreted the cue this week...be sure to check out their blogs, too!
I love that the curve of the melon and the sentiment is like a smile! A fresh, happy card!
