PP576 and Taylored Expressions Stenciled Birthday

Hello, friends! I wanted to stop by to share a set of three birthday cards I made while playing with my Taylored Expressions inks and stencils. I'm also playing along with the current The Paper Players PP576 - Tic Tac Toe Challenge from Joanne - I went down with die cut-birthday-stencil on all three cards, but I'm offically entering the second card pictured (with the scalloped edge die cut border).

I received this fun stencil as part of the TE Advent Calendar this year.  Every day for the month of December I enjoyed opening my Advent Calendar envelope, and this fun stencil was one of my favorite calendar items. (There were two stencils in the envelope...I will have more cards to share using the other stencil soon!) The colorful enamel dots were also part of the Advent Calendar...how fun!

One of the things I love about this little stencil is that it fits perfectly inside the TE "Scalloped Circle Masking Stencils," so that the smaller stencil image looks "framed" when you ink them up together.

Here are the three card variations I made, using a variety of TE mini ink cubes and blender brushes, and with the help of Pixie Spray so the stencils stayed in place:

The sentiment is from the TE "Anytime Expressions" sentiment set that was free with purchase a few months ago.  I must say this is one of my go-to sentiment sets!

Thanks, as always, for stopping by!

Have a great day,

Taylored Expressions "Full of Flowers" Birthday Cards

Hello, friends! I'm stopping by today to share two birthday cards I made using some of my Taylored Expressions supplies. These were so simple to make even though they look involved!

My card bases feature the Taylored Expressions "Foil It - Full of Flowers" which I foiled using my Scotch laminator and Deco Foil (gold and pewter) found here. I added color to the card bases after I foiled them using distress inks and the TE "Full of Flowers" layering stencil. I die cut the edges and adhered to kraft card bases.

The birthday sentiment is from the TE "Diamond Botanical" set, and the dots in the background are from the "Sketchbook Bouquet" set.

I die cut the frames around the sentiment using gold foil paper and the TE "Frame in Frame 2" cutting plate. The shine of the foil paper accents the foiled background nicely.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by!

Taylored Expressions "Ray of Sunshine" Birthday Card Set

Hello, friends! I'm here today to share a card set I recently made featuring the Taylored Expressions "Ray of Sunshine" cutting plate, a birthday sentiment from the "Itty Bitty Sentiments" set, and a pack of patterned paper that has been in my stash for too long!

I started out by pulling out eight coordinating papers from the American Crafts "Hip Hip Hooray" paper pad. I die cut each paper and laid them all out in a row. I also ran the die through using black and red glitter papers so I could use the frames.

Here is what the die cut papers and the black glitter "frame" looked like before I started to assemble my cards:

I began to mix and match the pieces onto various coordinating card bases, and before I knew it I had a set of colorful cards ready for sentiments!

I am always in need of birthday cards, so I stamped the same birthday sentiment for all of my cards and popped them up with foam in the center of the cards.  I am so pleased with the results!

My favorite of all the cards is the one featuring the black glitter frame. I think it makes the colorful patterned paper pieces just pop!

The red glitter frame is also fun!

Here are close-ups of the rest of the cards:

I am so happy that I finally used the papers in this paper pack...I have had them in my stash for years. (I guess I was hoarding them until just the right project came along!)  I hope to be able to do this again wth other coordinating patterned paper packs I have...they sure take the guess-work out of knowing what colors and patterns will go together using this die!

Thanks again for stopping by...I do appreciate your visits!  Take good care,

Judy

Taylored Expressions "Autumn Array" and FMS #519

Hello, friends! I'm happy to steal some time away from the busy day to share two cards. I was happy to be able to play with some of my Taylored Expressions goodies, and I made two cards while I had the supplies out.  Both cards feature the TE "Autumn Array" Stamp and Stencil Combo as well as sentiments from the "Simple Strips Background" cut with coordinating die. One card also features the "Pierced Lattice Cutting Plate" to add subtle texture to the background.

My first card is also an entry in the current Freshly Made Sketch #519 (a sketch by Jen T.). I do love a clean and fresh design!

Following this sketch -- which is so versatile and amazing, by the way -- I thought it would be cool to stamp and stencil the flowers, then die cut them out and mount them above the sentiment. Here is my first version:

Here is my second version - a little cleaner with the open white background:

I love the smaller "Bits and Pieces - Drip Drops" for a little extra pizazz! :)

I hope to be back soon to share some more cards I made using recent crafty Christmas presents from the Taylored Expressions shop.  In the meantime, take good care and thanks for stopping by!

Taylored Expressions Cards for Holiday Occasions

Hello, friends, and Happy New Year! I wanted to share a few cards I made this holiday season for several occasions...from Christmas to thank you's for holiday gifts to my daughter's holiday birthday (celebrated on 12/29).

My first set of cards are slimline cards using the Taylored Expressions "Foil It - Seasonal Sprig" paired with sentiments from the "Seasonal Sprig" stamp set and the coordinating "Mini Slim Seasonal Sprig Layering Stencil."  I used various colors of Deco foil and ran the panels through my Scotch laminator...and voila! I love the shine!

My next card is a thank you note (with a sentiment from Papertrey Ink) featuring one of the four designs in the "Create-in-Quads - Mistletoe Layering Stencil" set.  I do love a one-layer card!

Finally, I wanted to share the one-layer birthday card I made for my daughter who turned 20 on December 29th. This card features another design in the  "Create-in-Quads - Mistletoe Layering Stencil" set.  (The sentiment is from a set of TE stamps that were free with purchase.)

We had snow here today...not much, but enough to have a snow day off on the first day back to school after the winter break!  (Crazy, especially since it was 65 degrees here yesterday!)

Thanks, as always, for stopping by!
