Hello, friends! What a whirlwind two weeks it has been in our household as we moved our two oldest children in at their respective colleges for their first year! Thank God all went smoothly and they seem to be adjusting well. On the home front, we are still adjusting to having only two of our four children at home...it is very quiet, that's for sure!
I had to stop in today to share a card for the current TIME OUT Challenges: Challenge #117 based on these inspiring words:
Unfortunately we didn't get much time for "toes in the sand" this summer since our kids had summer jobs and no common time off. I can say, however, that "life is good" and I am most definitely grateful for all that I have and all that makes me happy!
I think this lovely lady from Art Impressions (Beach Babes) and the accompanying Mama Elephant (Birthday Wishes) sentiment sum up this graphic quite well!
I'm also going to enter this card into the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where "Anything Goes!"
OK, off to clean up my house...I am still recovering from the preparations required for two college moves. Wish me luck!
Thanks for stopping by,
Judy

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #35: Coffee, Tea and Treats!
Hello, friends! I'm stopping by to share three cards I am entering into the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #35: Coffee, Tea and Treats!
I went for the "treat" end of this challenge, although I may play again with my Love You a Latte coffee set. We'll see!
These three cards are off to the Cards for Little Hearts card drive, an ongoing card collection for children with congenital heart disease. I find that Lawn Fawn images make perfect cards for kids -- they are so cheerful and sweet! I'd love it if you joined me and sent in a few cards to brighten the days of kids in the hospital...the staff use our cards to write notes to the patients! Check out the website for more information HERE. (When looking for ideas or sharing your cards on social media, use #cardsforlittleheartscarddrive.)
Now on to my cards. I made three different cards using the same basic stamp layout. I love the tiny die cuts and adorable smiley faces on these ice cream cones from the Lawn Fawn "Sweetest Flavor" set! These are certain to satisfy your sweet tooth!
My first card used a fun die cut base paired with some sassy pink paper.
My next card used some cheery yellow polka dotted Lawn Fawn patterned paper!
My third and final card used some different colors for ice cream and some sequins for shine.
I appreciate your visit today. Be sure to check out the current challenge at The Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and consider sending in a card or two (or several!) to the ongoing card drive at Cards for Little Hearts. Lawn Fawn products are perfect for it!
Take care,
Judy

Can you see the Wink of Stella on the cherry?
My next card used some cheery yellow polka dotted Lawn Fawn patterned paper!
More Wink of Stella...and I love the white gel pen accents!
My third and final card used some different colors for ice cream and some sequins for shine.
Yep, Wink of Stella again!

Inspired By Challenge - Cool Treat
Hello, friends! Just stopping by to share a card I made for the current Inspired By...Cool Treat challenge.
I saw design team member Michele Ferguson's delicious card and knew I had to play along! This is actually my first time playing along at Inspired By even though I have been a follower for some time now. So glad I was able to join in the fun this week!
On to my card. I decided to play with my Reverse Confetti "Let's Chill" die and I dry embossed it to add some texture. The sentiment is from an old Hero Arts set called "Stamp Your Own Fruit." Paired with some patterned paper and a twine bow, this was quick and easy!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Stay cool!

Happy Birthday Butterfly Tag
Hello, friends! I'm here today to share a clean and simple card I made for several challenges:
1) Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #304: CAS -- I kept my card clean and simple by maintaining lots of white space and minimal embellishments. My favorite type of card!
2) CAS on Friday: Challenge #139 - Butterflies -- I let my die cut butterfly take center stage on this clean and simple card!
3) Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Distress It -- I used Tim Holtz distress ink for the blue background of my butterfly. (I'll also be linking this to the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #103 where the theme this week is birthdays!)
I started my card by die cutting a stitched tag and embossing it with a birthday embossing folder. Next, I die cut the solid butterfly shape, then added blue distress ink to the main card base behind the opening. Then I attached the tag to the card base and insterted the detailed butterfly die cut on top, finishing it off with a matching enamle dot. I did not stamp a sentiment on the outside because the dry embossed tag is clearly for a birthday!
Supplies Used:
Dies: MFT (Pierced Traditional Tag STAX), Simon Says Stamp (Leanna, Chrissy)
Inks: Tim Holtz distress ink (Tumbled Glass)
Other: embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts "Happy Birthday"), enamel dots
Thank you for stopping by, I do appreciate your visits!
Take care,
Judy

The Paper Players #404
Hello, friends! I was so excited to see the new challenge for the week at The Paper Players #404 where Laurie chose the challenge theme of "humorous." I always appreciate cards with a dry sense of humor and I have several stamp sets in my stash that lend themselves well to this theme, so I couldn't wait to play along!
Some of my favorite stamps that make me laugh (or at least chuckle in a snarky way) are from Art Impressions. Their line of "golden oldies" are particularly funny!
Check out this funny lady from Art Impressions (Fire Out set) paired with a sentiment from Mama Elephant (Birthday Wishes):
I can think of several people to whom I could send this card, although my older sister is the first to come to mind. She'd get a kick out of it!
Thanks for stopping by...and be sure to check out the design team cards and the entries over at The Paper Players this week for some laughs!
Take good care,
Judy

Seize the Birthday & Inkspirational #166
Hello, friends! I'm here to share a card for the current challenge at Seize the Birthday where the optional topping is "Water."
I happened to use the same layering wave stamp set as Guest Designer Trina Pham, although she made her card so super cute by adding a fun surfing shark image to her card! I kept mine pretty simple, adding a birthday sentiment from The Ton.
I also made this card in less than ten minutes, so I'll be playing along at the current Inkspirational Challenge #166, where the Designer's Choice is to make a card in ten minutes or less. That's my favorite kind of card to make! ;)
I know it looks involved, but I have to say that the layering stamps in this set make it SO easy to make this card quickly!
I actually make several of the same card (to have in my stash of birthday cards) and I mounted some on light blue cards while others I mounted on dark blue cards. In each case, I die cut my white panels using a stitched wave die to accent the waves in the image.
Thanks for stopping by!
