Precious Remembrance Shop {Inspire Me Friday}

Hi, everyone!  I'm here today with a sneak peek of my first Precious Remembrance Shop {Inspire Me Friday} post using the fun new release stamp set, "Happy Mail."

Can I just say that I love the little envelope in this set?  That tiny heart is just too cute!

The "FRAGILE" sentiment reminded me of the scene in the movie A Christmas Story when the big box containing the infamous leg lamp is delivered and the dad reads the crate: "Fra-gi-le...it must be Italian!"  (You can see the clip HERE if you want a good chuckle!)

I digress...

Here is a sneak peek of my project:

I hope you will head over to the Precious Remembrance Shop blog to see the full post.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CASology #267: BIG

Hello, friends!  It's time for our next cue card at CASology...this week we are going BIG!

I decided to use a big sentiment paired with a big mug of something that plays a big part of my life...in my case, coffee!  All of my stamping supplies are STAMPlorations, our generous sponsor this week.  While I was at it, I made two cards, one on white cardstock and one on cream cardstock.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations (Choose Happy, Sketchy Coffee Cups)
Inks: Hero Arts (Latte chalk ink), Shabby Shutters distress ink
Other: patterned papers

I'm inking up this card duo at the current Fall 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop as I tried to use fall colors in my inks and papers.

In addition, I'm entering them into the STAMPlorations Never-Ending Anything Goes Challenge as well as the Summer CAS Card Challenge which runs through October 5th.

I can't wait to see how you interpret the BIG cue card this week!  Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the many ways our Design Team and Guest Designer interpreted the cue this week...be sure to visit their blogs, too!

It's Time to Celebrate!

Hello, friends!  I'm sneaking in a little blogging time (before another crazy busy work/school week begins) to share a card I made for two current challenges:

(1) Seize the Birthday: Balloons!  (Yes, I did the optional topping of "balloons.")

(2) Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Clean and Simple

I used a free digital image from Heather Ellis paired with a computer-generated sentiment and colored it with Copic markers.  This was a quick and easy card to make, and I kept it clean and simple by maintaining open space and no embellishments.

That's it for me tonight, off to pack lunches for tomorrow.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

** Click HERE for my post featuring the New Release "Happy Mail" set for the Blog Hop at Precious Remembrance Shop!
_________________________________________________________________________

Hello, friends!  I'm so excited to be here today with a card I made for the 2017 Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  The hop runs for the whole week (ending on Friday, September 22nd), so there is plenty of time to play along!

I have so many coffee stamps, at this point it is hard to decide on which one to use for each hop.  I may just have to make more than one card!

For today's card, I stamped my favorite coffee cup from Precious Remembrance Shop's "Coffee Love" set onto a piece of patterned paper, then fussy cut and added onto a pre-designed fall card base.  I dry-embossed the center strip of the cup using a border embossing folder, and popped up the heart on foam tape.  The sentiment is from the same PRS set.

I hope you enjoy the blog hop...I enjoy them each season and hope to make some more cards if I can find the time!

Thanks for stopping by,
Judy

New Release at Precious Remembrance Shop!

Hello, friends!  I am so excited to be here today to share with you the new release stamp set from Precious Remembrance Shop!  My first project features the new set called "Happy Mail."

You should have arrived here from our wonderful guest designer, Amy Tsuruta's blog.  If you are interested in starting the hop from the beginning, here is the line up:

Today we are focusing on the versatility of the "Happy Mail" set, especially when planning for the upcoming holidays.  I made Christmas-themed projects featuring the new set along with some other PRS favorites.

I made two tags, but used one to mount on a card.  For both tags, I stamped the "this contains" box image from the  "Happy Mail" set and then masked it.  On my card tag, I stamped pine branches from the "Oh Christmas" set around the perimeter of the tag and added small hearts from the "Sweet Pea" set.

On my gift tag, I stamped the same box sentiment and masked it, then stamped stars from the "Oh Christmas" set all around it.  Those sweet hearts from the "Sweet Pea" set made an appearance again, too!

Here are my projects together:

    CASology #266: CAKE

Hello, friends!  Tuesday has arrived, and that means it's time for a new cue at CASology.

I Immediately thought of this cake image shared with me a few years ago by the generous and thoughtful Barbara Roe of love2color.  I have a few that I have been hoarding saving and this was the perfect time to use one!  I paired this lovely representation of my latest birthday cake with a punny sentiment from Ranger Dyan Reaveley's "Laugh 'til You Leak" Dylusions cling stamp set.   I framed the die cut square on black card stock to add some interest.

I can't wait to see how you interpret the CAKE cue card this week...I have a feeling there will be many entries!  Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). Check out our Design Team and Guest Designer blogs for more inspiration!

Less Is More #345: OLC "Colouring In"

Hello, friends!  I'm stopping by to share a card I made for the current Less Is More Challenge #345: One Layer Challenge "Colouring In!"

My youngest son plays soccer at a highly competitive level.  Unfortunately, one of his soccer teammates was seriously injured during the national playoff games last month.  It was very upsetting for everyone, and his teammate has been on our mind as he recovers.

My son and I designed this card together to send as a get well card...we thought the sentiment fit perfectly since the team functions best when all are there working together!

    Supplies:
    Stamps: Art Impressions (Get Well)
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Copic markers

Get it?  "We can't cover your back forever?"  Oh, how we both love a good pun.  This is such a fun stamp set and it is easy to color in, too -- and I always love a one-layer card, so easy to mail.

Since I stamped it, I'm also entering this card into the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme is "Stamp It."  (This month is one long party over at Simon Says Stamp, aptly called "STAMPtember.")

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Best Teacher

Hello, friends!  I've had school on the brain this week as I returned to work and my four kids returned to school for another year!  There are a few card challenges out there right now covering similar themes, so I made a card to fit several challenges:

    (1) The challenge this week at Addicted to CAS Challenge #119 is "apples."

    (2) The current theme challenge from Claire at The Paper Players is "Back to School."

    (3) The current cue card at CASology is EDUCATION.  (I'm on the Design Team so I'm not entering this officially, just want to share it for inspiration and remind you to play along!)

I recently used a gift certificate to purchase a few fun dies from Reverse Confetti, and this cute "All Apples" die set was one of them.  So useful!  I paired it with some cute patterned papers and an old Studio G sentiment for a quick and easy teacher card.

    Supplies:
    Stamps: Studio G (Best Teacher)
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black), white gel pen
    Dies: Reverse Confetti (All Apples)
Paper: Echo Park (Everyday Eclectic 6x6 pad)
    Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder (Tiffany)

Be sure to check out all these challenges, the inspiration out there is amazing!
    Thanks for stopping by,

    CASology #265: EDUCATION

Hello, friends!  School is back in session here in the U.S., so our cue this week at CASology is rather fitting!

I am now officially back to work for another school year...my 23rd year working as a school psychologist.  I believe education is important for everyone, no matter who you are, where you are, or how old you are!  I'm still learning new things, and I hope to keep educating myself throughout my life.  I stress the importance of education to my kids all the time, and I don't just mean "book knowledge."

On a lighter note, I do like to send some notes of encouragement to my little nieces and nephews as they return to school each fall.  This little note is headed off to my nephew who is starting second grade this year!

I dry embossed the frame in the center of my card using a tan rubber mat and a wonky stitched die...I love the dimension it adds to an otherwise flat card.

    Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Smooches (Sentiment Sampler, Smarty Pants)
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Copic markers
    Dies: MFT (Wonky Stitched Rectangles)
    Other: black striped washi tape

What does EDUCATION bring to mind for you?  I can't wait to see how you interpret the cue card this week!  Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the clever ways our Design Team and Guest Designer interpreted the cue this week, too!

    Sledding Penguins!

Hello, friends!  I'm here today with a holiday card I made for several challenges as they all lined up beautifully and inspired me to break out one of my favorite Penny Black stamps!  Here is where I am playing today:

    (1) Penny Black and More: September Challenge: Get Ready for Christmas!

    (3) AAA Cards CAS Game #98: Creatures Great or Small (I think penguins are adorable creatures!)

I made a one-layer card using a fun retired Penny Black stamp (Arctic Bus ) paired with a sentiment from Hero Arts (Joy to All ).  I watercolored the image and background sky, then splattered watered-down white Enamel Accents for some falling snow.  Wink of Stella on the white fur hats and in the sky also adds some sparkle (although it remains ever elusive to capture in photos!).

Thanks so much for stopping by!
    Have a good day,
    Judy
