Hello, friends!
Just stopping by to share a birthday card for my CASology design teammate, the amazingly talented Hannelie Bester of "Desert Diva."
I was thrilled when Hannelie joined our team since I have been a long-time fan of her work. She designs so many cool cards...and have you seen her collection of free digital sentiments? I think I have saved almost all of them onto my hard drive! Now she has her whole collection all in one spot in a Pinterest board called "My Card Sentiments." (A dream come true!) You can check them out HERE.
I made this card for Hannelie (and I sure hope she has received it by today!) using my own computer-generated sentiment paired with MFT LJD Circle Scribble Flowers stamps/dies and patterned papers.
Happy birthday to you, Hannelie, and best wishes for a wonderful year ahead!
Thanks for stopping by,
Judy

Addicted to CAS #71: Blue
Hello, friends! I'm here today to share a card for the current Addicted to CAS Challenge #71: Blue.
I made this card for my nephew's christening and used baby blue DCWV glitter paper with Spellbinders cross dies. The light blue gem in the middle matched the paper perfectly...I love it when that happens!
Just a quick post today...off to make dinner!
Thanks for stopping by,
Judy

Precious Remembrance Shop - New Release Day!
Hello, friends! I am so excited to be here as the newest member to join the Design Team and to share a project I made for the new September release at Precious Remembrance Shop!
I am in LOVE with the new "School Days" set. I adore the school-themed images, especially this fun bus...and they go so well with stamps from other PRS sets, too. And that "thanks" is divine! Check out this fun set!
For my card, I used the bus from the new "School Days" set and paired it with a sentiment from the "Journey" set. The road is from "New Day," while the splatter is from "Positive Thoughts."
I love the fact that standard size gems fit perfectly in the bus headlights! I used two clear gems for some fun and sparkle!
Guess what? You have a chance to win this wonderful set...all you have to do is leave a comment at the blogs listed below:
Good luck!

CASology #161: PLAID
Hello, friends! Welcome back for yet another cue card at CASology!
Honestly, the first thing that came to mind for me were the plaid uniforms I wore to school throughout my childhood -- plaid jumpers in elementary school, plaid skirts in middle school and high school. And now my daughters are wearing plaid skirts as part of their school uniforms. There is no escaping plaid in my house!
I also thought of the many pretty plaid patterned papers I have in my stash. Paired with a die cut sentiment and a pretty border die, plaid can be very pretty! :)
So? What does PLAID bring to mind for you? I can't wait to see! You have until noon on Monday (Central time) to link up your card. Be sure to check out the awesome cards by our Design Team and Guest Designer this week, too!

Happy Birthday, Melissa!
Hello, friends! I'm stopping by today with a special birthday card for Melissa Chipperfield, our fearless leader at CASology. Today is her special day, and this is the card I sent her. (I sure hope she received it...I'd hate to spoil the surprise!)
Melissa has been the most supportive, organized, talented, competent, level-headed leader since I joined the design team at CASology in January 2012. I love her amazingly clean and simple style, not to mention her amazing photography skills! If you haven't already, you must stop by and visit her blog, Oh, Smudge! I particularly love her "Wordless Wednesday" posts.
Melissa, best wishes for a very happy birthday and many more to come!

CASology #160: NUMBER
Hello, friends! After a crazy week with an unexpected family medical issue last week, I'm happy to be here today with the new cue card at CASology. Check it out!
I have a feeling this is going to be an easy challenge for many of you -- there are so many ways to go with this cue!
I recently purchased some PTI number dies, but my mojo was lacking and I couldn't think of anything creative to do with them. Then I thought of my daughter's favorite number, and my card came along quickly.
Can you guess what her favorite number is? Here's a hint: I will give her this card on March 14th.
Her favorite number is pi! According to Wikipedia, the number π is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, commonly approximated as 3.14159 (hence it is celebrated on March 14th...3.14). It has been represented by the Greek letter "π" since the mid-18th century, though it is also sometimes spelled out as "pi" (/paɪ/).
When I asked my daughter why she loves the number pi, she said, "Because it is fun to write and it has it's own holiday...that's cool!" I'm all about encouraging my daughters to love math...maybe we should have more math-related holidays!
What does NUMBER mean to you? I can't wait to see! Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time). I hope you'll get a chance to visit our Design Team and Guest Designer blogs for more inspiration!

CASology #159: AQUATIC
Hello, friends! It's that time again...time for our next cue card at CASology!
During our ten-day vacation in Hawaii earlier this summer, we did a lot of "aquatic" activities (e.g., swimming, snorkeling, surfing, jumping off very high rocks into the ocean). My kids were especially interested in finding sea turtles, and we spotted several of them in different locations on the island. That was the inspiration for my card. The aqua blue card stock I used for the hexagon die cut reminds me of the color of the water in Hawaii!
Glossy Accents on the eyes and Wink of Stella all over the turtle add some sparkle and shine.
I'm linking up this sweet fella at The Alley Way Stamps August Link Up.
So, what does AQUATIC bring to mind? Get crafty and play along! Be sure to link up your card by noon on Monday (Central time) and check out the awesome cards by our Design Team and Guest Designer, too!

Muse Challenge #127 and SSS Anything Goes
Hello, friends! I'm here today with a card I made for the current Muse Challenge #127 with this lovely muse card by Joan Bardee:
What inspired me about this card? I adore the branches framing the sentiment and the pretty bright greens and blues! I immediately thought of the Neat and Tangled "So Very Blessed" stamp and here is how I interpreted the design and colors, in particular the branches framing the sentiment and the blues and greens:
I'm also entering this card in the current Simon Says Stamp "Anything Goes" Wednesday Challenge.
Thanks, as always, for stopping by!

CASology #158: PRECIOUS
Hello, friends! You know what time it is...time for our new cue card at CASology!
This cue card is particularly special to me because I was recently invited to join the design team at one of my favorite stamp companies -- and they happen to be our sponsor this week -- Precious Remembrance Shop! Our fearless leader at CASology, Melissa Chipperfield, is also on the Design Team and does amazing thing with their stamps!
What does the word "precious" bring to mind for me? So many things! Well, of course, all of my loved ones. My God and my faith. My freedom. Memories.
Ah HA! All of the photographs I have taken throughout my lifetime, documenting so many occasions, big and small...my photos are also precious to me.
Thus, the inspiration for my card.
Be sure to link up your PRECIOUS card by noon on Monday (Central time). You will also be inspired by the many ways our Design Team and two Guest Designers interpreted the cue this week!
